-- Kurt Angle was reportedly very upset at the Smackdown! tapings this week because he almost had to tap out to Tough Enough contestant Daniel Puder. Angle's main complaint was due to the unscripted nature of the event as he argued that the spot (and others similar to it) put WWE workers in bad situations by doing these "shoot" scenarios. It is believed that most people backstage sided with Angle and understood his frustrations.
-- Apparently a rumor that WWE will now be cutting back on paying for wrestler surgeries is reportedly completely false. As the story goes, the rumor may have been started by TNA officials as a way to demonstrate that their promotion is now a more attractive option than WWE.
-- Stephanie McMahon recently fired Smackdown! writer Dan Madigan. Madigan has been responsible for the angles involving Hirohito and Mordecai, both of which were dropped. However, it appears the real reason for his firing is that he upset Stephanie by not sucking up to her like many of the writers in that he took many of his ideas straight to Vince McMahon instead of first submitting them to her.
