The Rock is now "Walking Tall," a remake of the 1973 Joe Don Baker adventure which itself lead to a sequel and TV series. The film is based on a true story about a retired special forces soldier, Chris Vaughn, who returns home to find his town overrun by local criminals. Vaughn's former rival now runs the town, has shut down the local lumber mill, and feeds the decay from his crooked casino. Taking matters into his own hands, Vaughn sets out to right the wrongs done to his town, friends and family. He gets elected sheriff and aims to take out his vengeance with a big ole' 2x4.
