Not much progress has been made with the contract dispute between WWE and Steve Austin. As reported, Austin wants the rights to the Stone Cold name and his outside projects to be separate from WWE projects.
As it stands, WWE is not going to back down from this. WWE are claiming that they do not care if Austin does ventures outside of wrestling, and just want protection in the event of a legal dispute with another company backing one of Austin's ventures.
Until this is settled, it is expected that the WWE will not mention Austin's name, as done in the previous two weeks.
Austin is using a high paid lawyer who is willing to fight hard for him.
