Opening:
Christy Hemme makes her way out and talks about how she loves our city and only to be interuppted by Simon Dean. Simon says how "winnipig" is filled with slobs and calls Christy one too. Simon says she should try his system powder but Christy takes it and throws it in his face and gives him a lowblow.
Match 1: Christian/Tyson Tomko vs. Hurricane and Rosey (Tag-Team)
Match was boring. Alot of show-boating and a couple moves here and there.
Winners by pinfall: Christian and Tyson Tomko.
Match 2: Molly Holly vs. Victoria (Val Venis Guest Referee)
Decent match. Victoria hits the widowmaker on Molly and gets the pin.
Winner by pinfall: Victoria
Match 3: Shelton Benjamin vs. Maven (IC Championship)
Shelton gets a good reaction from the crowd. The match was mostly Shelton on the offense. Shelton nails Maven with the stinger splash and walks into the t-bone suplex.
Winner by pinfall: Shelton Benjamin
Match 4: Kane vs. Gene Snitsky (Hardcore Match)
Good match. Snitsky cut a promo saying how Lita's injured, the baby thing wasn't his fault, etc. The match went back and forth but Kane eventually delivered the chokeslam on Snitsky and got the pin.
Winner by pinfall: Kane
-Intermission-
Match 5: La Resistance vs. William Regal and The Coach (Tag-Team Championship)
The Coach comes out and says he's the guest announcer. Regal comes out and Coach tells him how Bischoff ordered Regal to defend his Tag Team Championship with Coach as his tag team partner. Match itself was decent. La Resistance mainly handled the match and Coach didn't want to get tagged in. La Resistance hits their finisher on Regal and gets the pin!
New Tag-Team Champions by pinfall: La Resistance.
After the match, Coach says he should of tagged in and they wouldn't of lost the titles. And Coach kicks him while he's on the ground and leaves the ring.
Match 6: Edge vs. Chris Benoit
Another good match. Alot of chops, suplexes and submissions. Edge goes for the spear but Benoit reverses that into the crippler crossface and Edge submits.
Winner by submission: Chris Benoit.
Match 7: Muhammad Hassan w/ Manager vs. Winnipeg's own Chris Jericho.
Hassan comes out and says how Canadians are worse than Americans and talks about being stranded in the middle of no where for 3 hours. Only to be interuppted by Chris Jericho. Huge reaction for Chris. Chris then gets on a mic and tells Hassan's manager to speak english and gives props to Winnipeg. Good match, the crowd made it hot. Chris hits all his usual spots and basically takes apart Muhammad Hassan. His manager tries to get involved but that backfires. Chris gets Hassan in the Walls of Jericho and submits.
Winner by submission: Chris Jericho
After the match, he gets on the mic saying how he loves to be back home and loves the crowd. He said he'll be back soon. People make alot of noise and YJ2 chants are heard around the arena.
Match 8: Batista and Ric Flair vs. Shawn Micheals and Randy Orton (Main Event)
A good reaction for Evolution and a mixed reaction for Micheals and Orton. Of course, the "you screwed Bret" chants were being said towards Shawn. Ric Flair gets on the mic and says how Canada is a good country for wrestling, calls Bret Hart a Ric Flair wanna-be and says Micheals is an amazing performer. Ric gets some booes but not too many. This was a good match. It was very back and forth. Ric does his usual spots with Shawn Micheals. Batista and Orton go at for a while and they go outside of the ring. Shawn Michaels hits his sweet chin music on Flair and gets the pin.
Winners by pinfall: Shawn Micheals and Randy Orton.
Overall, it was a good show. I loved the promos. Too bad Trish Stratus wasn't there and same with HHH. But I seen everybody who I wanted to see. It took place in our new arena and it was surprisingly packed.
Biggest Pop: Chris Jericho
Most Heat: Ric Flair (after those comments)/Muhammad Hassan
