Paul London vs Akio
For all of you keeping score at home this one's the rubber match as the score is currently 1-1 and delicately poised and this match should be nothing short of spectacular. London makes his way down (Sorry Mr AJ Styles he doesn't copy you with his hood up and yes he is better than you) and runs and slides across the ring and nearly all the way out before dazzling and wowing the Japanese crowd with a pre-match backflip off the second rope. Akio gets an even bigger pop than London and the biggest one of the show and of his WWE career thus far and Akio takes in the crowd's plaudits before getting in the ring. Steve informs us that Akio's let Josh into his next movie but Josh informs Steve that he can't bring him on set. Anyway Bell rings and both competitors circle one another and lockup and Akio quickly armdrags London. Both lockup again and both jostle to the ropes and to the corner as Josh informs us that both have competed in Japan before, London for Zero-One, Akio for All Japan and at that we get a clean break. Third lockup leads to an Akio side headlock, London works a reversal and the style is adapted to match the Japnese audience who watch the action and then react after. Akio gets a reversal goes behind London and takes him down, London reverses into an armbar, Akio counters with a legscissors, London moves from side to side kips up and a staredown ensues. Akio extends a hand but suckers London with a kick to the gut and a side headlock, Akio off the ropes, shoulderblock to London, Akio goes to run the ropes, London trips him, slaps on a headlock of his own, London off the ropes, no he puts the brakes on and keeps the hold applied. Akio powers out and forces London down, London comes back up, Akio throws him down by the hair and slaps on a headlock. London gets up, kicks free, grabs an arm, Akio off the ropes London ducks as Akio rolls forwards, Akio goes to charge and London catches him with a kick that puts him down. London picks up Akio forearms him into the corner, Akio reverses an Irish whip charges in, London knees him downstairs climbs up to the second rope lands the Mushroom stop, stomps round and charges. Akio flips London up and over, London lands on the apron drives his head into Akio's gut and vaults back in connecting with a headscissors to Akio sending him outside in the process. London sizes up Akio and sets up for a suicide dive but Akio runs out of dodge and London puts the brakes on. The crowd get on Akio now who looks in disgust as he rolls back in and calls for a test of strength. London obliges and after a few switcheroos they lock together and Akio gets the advantage and goes behind London with a standing camel clutch. London forces Akio down and simply steps over Akio's gripped arms as it looks like he's disrobing and he quickly works a reversal which Akio quickly thwarts by turning and kicking London in the gut. Akio Irish whips London then charges, Matrix flip connects, Akio charges again but London moves and Akio goes shoulder first into the ringpost and crashes to the arena floor. We take a quick break from the action for.....................

Don't Try This At Home.

Back with the action and London has mounted Akio in the corner and starts the 10 punch attack. London gets to 8 before Akio throws London off, London lands on his feet and charges, Akio flips him up, London lands on Akio's shoulders but Akio throws him off and London crashes shoulderfirst into the ringsteps before connecting with the floor. Holy Shit! what a sick bump. Akio looks pleased before he goes onto the apron stomps on London comes off with another stomp and rolls him back in. Akio gets in gets a nearfall, grabs London up by the hair, Akio goes to the corner, mounts the second rope and locks in a painful hanging legscissors and hangs outside. Akio breaks the illegal maneuver gets back inside and stays on London by slapping on a sleeper. London gets to his feet, tries punching free but Akio knocks him down with an enziguiri kick to the back of the head and covers 1-2- no London stays alive. Akio stomps on London who's crawling to the corner before picking him up and landing a chop followed by an Irish whip. Akio charges and connects with a flying forearm, throws London down and signals for a highrisk move. Akio goes to the top rope and dives off with a flying elbow but London dodges and both men are down as the referee lays on the count. London tries to get up using the ropes but Akio gets to a base at eight and he comes at London who fends him off with punches as he makes it to his feet where a vicious chopfest takes place with London winning out. London follows up by executing a jawbreaker and a spinning heel kick and London gets all fired up. London clotheslines Akio down twice whips him off the ropes connects with a big backbodydrop and then a dropsault. London covers for a nearfall picks up Akio Irish whip, London charges only to eat an Akio elbow, Akio charges but London recovers and catches him with another heel kick and he covers for another nearfall. London can't believe it as he picks up Akio, Akio hits a knee to the midsection and throws London over the top rope and turns away. London holds onto the top rope and vaults himself back in ala Owen Hart (RIP)/Chris Jericho, Akio charges London flips him over and Akio crashes and burns outside. London stomps round again and the crowd get with it via applause as London charges forward and he hits Akio with a somersault plancha. London rolls Akio back in and he goes up top for some more Air London. London leaps off and Akio catches him with a spin kick and he covers for the wi-no London gets out of the backdoor and Akio is in disbelief. Akio picks up a groggy London lifts him onto the second rope and goes up top himself attempting a Hurricanrana. London thwarts this and Akio goes crashing down as London goes to the top rope himself, comes off and lands on top of Akio with a 450 Splash. London covers and Akio is done 1-2-3. What a match 5 stars and kudos to both men. What a main event on Velocity this week. London is up on Akio 2-1. Here is Your Winner: PAUL LONDON.

Steve shills for SmackDown! and signs off. End of Show. I'll be back with Heat so keep it here, Shaun.
