Baltimore, MD Smackdown House Show Feb. 21

I would like to begin by saying my son (5 year old) and I had the best seats in the house. We were in the front row by the ring in the 1st two seats by the wrestlers entrance.
-1st "match" was Miss Smackdown! Best Body Contest-the 1st diva out was Miss Jackie and she saw my son and came over and said "Oh what a cutie" and gave him a kiss on his cheek. Too bad his daddy didnt get the same treatment. The rest of the diva's came out including Dawn Marie, Torrie Wilson, Michelle McCool, Lauren Jones, Rochell Loewen and Joy Giovanni. Of course Torrie Wilson won and Dawn Marie threw a hissy fit.
-2nd match was a Cruiserweight Title Elimination Match between Chavo, Funaki, Scotty Too Hotty, Shannon Moore and Spike. Shannon Moore was the 1st one eliminated by Scotty, Scotty then got eliminated by Spike, Spike got eliminated by Funaki. This made it a singles match between Chavo and Funaki. About 2 minutes into the one on one Chavo hurt his ankle. All the referees came out to check on him along with the paramedics. This went on for about 2-3 minutes before they finally got Chavo up on his feet holding onto 2 refs. Funaki held the rope open for Chavo to get out but then Chavo rolled him up for the 1-2-3 and ran out of the ring.
-3rd match- US Title-John Cena vs. Rene Dupree- Cena was the 1st out and he did his normal work on the microphone about the chain gang and Dupree being from France. Dupree came out waving the French Flag too a very loud USA chant. Overall not a very good match. Cena hit his normal highlight moves before finishing Dupree off with the FU. After the match Cena walked around the ring. I held my son up and Cena gave him a high five and said "What's up, lil homie?" Of course that made my sons week. 2 days later he is still talking about it.
-4th match- Orlando Jordan beat Charlie Haas with a roll up while holding Haas' tights
-5th match- Angle and Reigns come out to the "You Suck" chants. Next Booker T comes out and gets the microphone and says he doesnt have many friends on Smackdown but he does have one that, for one night only, will be his tag team partner. The Undertaker comes out to a huge cheer. After Taker gets to the ring Kurt Angle grabs the microphone and says he wasnt prepared to fight The Undertaker tonight so there wont be a match and he and Reigns walk back towards the locker room before coming back for the match. Booker spent most of the match in the ring getting beat around by Reigns (seemed like mostly a singles match). Angle and Undertaker werent in that much but Undertaker got the pinfall over Reigns after the Tombstone Piledriver.
6th match- WWE championship match (no DQ)- JBL comes to the ring with Orlando Jordan. JBL gets on the microphone and says he is still the champion after last nights No Way Out. He says that is something the people of Baltimore wouldnt understand since all they have is The Ravens and The Orioles. Big Show's music then hits and he runs down to the ring. Both men are bandaged up pretty good from the night before. Pretty boring WWE title match with JBL winning after a belt shot to Show's face. We are all just thankful they wrestled after the match they had the night before.
We have an intermission of about 10-15 minutes
7th match- Hardcore Holly defeats Mark Jindrak- Jindrak got many taunts towards him from the crowd. Holly had huge cheers especially after he destroyed Jindraks chest with about 7 slaps to the area. Holly won with the Alabama Slam.
8th match- WWE Tag Team Championship- Rey Mysterio and Eddie vs The Bashams- The Bashams come out to boos and then Rey and Eddie come out in a green pimped out car. They came out right beside us with Rey of course in the passenger side. After Rey got out he gave us some high fives. While waiting for the match to start Rey was in his corner in front of us and saw my son. He gave him the thumbs up, a fist pump and the west coast sign and my son did them all back to him but couldnt do thw west coast sign and Rey gave him the thumbs up for trying. Rey and Eddie won after a 619 and Frog Splash. After the match they took their time walking around the ring. Eddie came over the us first and he said to my son "Hey, little holmes" and did his little shake and shook our hands. Rey then came over and gave my son a hug and a tap on the head before leaving.

Overall it was a great night especially considering they had a PPV the night before and had to make the drive from Pittsbirgh to Baltimore. I really would love to thank Cena, Jackie, Rey and Eddie for taking a few seconds to interact with my son. It is something he will never forget and they are now favorites of our family no matter which way their careers go.
