We then get started and Val goes to lockup but Maven surprises him with a kick to the gut and a wristlock. Maven lands clubbing blows and drives a shoulder into Val then grabs a headlock connecting with a punch to Val's face sending him crawling on his knees. Val drops a knee gets a two count and chops Maven in the corner. Maven gets a nearfall after a back suplex, whips Val to the ropes and follows in with a knee to the gut before locking in an abdominal stretch while clubbing away at Val's back. Maven uses the ropes for extra leverage, the referee sees this and Maven utilises a four count before throwing Val down and arguing with the referee. Maven approaches Val who stings Maven with shots to the gut, Val gets up and starts to fight back with a chop and a punch which knocks Maven down, Val clotheslines and backelbows Maven down unloads with another chop, Maven off the ropes, Val knocks him down with a knee to the gut, and covers but Maven gets out at two. Val signals for the Money Shot and steps out onto the apron but sees Maven stirring so Val re-enters lands a few kicks and punches and picks him up attempting a suplex.
