On the Georgia radio show "Gene and Tony Show" on The Ticket 1240... 10:30 AM 4/18/05, I called in:
Justin: Hey Tony. I'd like to switch up the topic real quick from MLB to the WCW?
Tony: Sure.
Justin: If there ever was a WCW reunion show, would you be willing to work it?
Tony: No, not really.
Justin: What do you think of what Bobby Heenan has said in his book and recent interviews, being quoted as saying you are not his "type of guy" and that you hated the fans and considered them "idiots?"
Tony: I don't believe Bobby really said this. He did have a problem with me when he left WCW, claiming his departure was my fault. But we have talked and patched up our problems since then.
Justin: What booking style did you prefer? Vince Russo or Eric Bischoff?
Tony: I'd have to go with Vince Russo.
Justin: What is your favorite moment from the nWo era?
Tony: The night we shot at Disney when the nWo took over. It was night time, it was outdoors, it was a great atmosphere.
Justin: How was the atmosphere the night Vince Russo swerved Hulk Hogan at Bash at the Beach 2000 and then did that shoot interview in the ring afterwards?
Tony: No one saw it coming. I was certainly shocked, as you can tell from the way I acted at ringside. Everyone was shocked. There were people backstage and people still today who think it wasn't a shoot. When I went backstage after the show, everyone had already left.
Justin: I heard Bischoff left that night after that happened?
Tony: I didn't see Eric backstage after the show, so yes, he did.
Justin: Alright, thank you for your time. If you have any desire to ever return to wrestling, it would be great. Thank you, and I appreciate what you have done for the sport.
Tony: Thank you very much. Have a good one Justin.
