According to sources, Chris Jericho’s future with World Wrestling Entertainment is far from certain. His current contract with the company is scheduled to expire towards the end of this year, and he has become even more outspoken than ever about his tenuous status.
In public interviews, he has been ambivalent about his future with the company, citing burn-out and frustration. One person familiar with Jericho's backstage attitude says he's stale and knows it, but is frustrated that he isn't given more attention from the creative staff.
Members of the creative team don’t believe he’s worth investing heavily in to, at least until he renews his contract, which means he isn't a top candidate to be moved to Smackdown in the upcoming draft lottery and given a renewed top tier push.
