The show starts off with the announcement that all matches on the show are
tournament matches for the vacant TV title.
Announcers : Dean Hilll & Al Snow
The next announcement is explaining Jim Cornette's absence. In a statement
via Cornette, he says that he will not be back till all challengers of his
authority are eliminated. He will not return till he has full control of
the show again including total control of all matchmaking.
Next the OVW Heavyweight Champion: "The Shooter" Brent Albright comes out
ant wishes all competitors in the tournament good luck, cause they'll need
it. Then Mike Mondo comes out, and slaps "The Shooter" and he puts "The
crowbar" on him ( which is just a armbar ) Mondo taps out, and they
announce his opponent, Alexis Laree.
MATCH #1- TV TITLE TOURNAMENT
ALEXIS LAREE vs MIKE MONDO
winner, Alexis via rollup because of the "damage" from submission. ( By the
way, Alexis is a woman, for those that dont know)
MATCH #2 - TV TITLE TOURNAMENT
OSAMA vs SEVEN
winner, Seven with nasty version of the D'Lo spinebuster.
Seven cuts promo and says that hes going to give prize money from winning
tournament to all of the blue collar fans, because they are the reason that
he's here, and he is one of them. ( Osama definitely seems like he might be
coming to be a part of a Hassan feud in the future )

Main event: Rey Mysterio & Seth Skyfire vs MNM
OVW Heavyweight Championship Match: Elijah Burke vs "Shooter" Brent Albright

Maria (Yes, that Maria, looks like she is working on her "airhead interview"
skills at OVW) interviews Nick Nemeth, and his next opponent, Paul Birchall
interferes w/ generic heel promo.
MATCH #3 - TV TITLE TOURNAMENT
PAUL BIRCHALL vs NICK NEMETH
winner, Paul Birchall via a reversed top rope cross body by Nemeth.
Anyone that isn't familiar w/ Birchall, he looks like a blond haired Eugene,
except a little more "chubby". But he moves good in the ring and has a good
moveset. I look to see him up in the near future, maybe w/ William Regal,
cause he's from London.
Aaron "The Idol" Stevens w/ Beth Phoenix, comes out and cuts promo on why he
lost heavyweight title to "Shooter". He says that he tapped out because his
shoulder was separated because of Shooters move, the crowbar. And because
of that move, his shoulder was separated and the nerves in his shoulder
caused his arm to twitch in a tapping motion. Says he can beat anyone w/
just one arm. Great heel promo!!
Danny Inferno comes out and is The Idol's challenger, but Gene Snitsky
attacks him as he comes to the ring, then throws him in the ring for the
easy pin for The Idol.
MATCH #4 - TV TITLE TOURNAMENT
AARON "THE IDOL" STEVENS vs DANNY INFERNO
winner, The Idol via Snitsky interference.
Announcement of new match for the "Summer Sizzler Series", Lumberjack match,
Aaron "The Idol" Stevens vs Danny Inferno.
Next is a flashback to last week of when Melina slapped a fan and Mercury
and Nitro beat up security officials, and also when Simon Dean attacked
Danny Inferno. ( I thought it was funny that when Dean was out there, the
fans were chanting "Nova sucks!!") They showed this to make mention of the
fact that the show is out of control. Hence Al Snow taking over control
with a baseball bat, from now on, atleast till Cornette comes back.
MATCH #5 - TV TITLE TOURNAMENT
BLASTER LASHLEY W/ KEENY "STARMAKER" BOLIN vs SETH SKYFIRE
winner, Lashley, via running powerslam.
(By the way, this guy is huge, pretty much a black version of Batista, and
he's apparently in the Kansas wrestling hall of fame. I expect Vince to be
all over this guy. Don't really know what he can do, cause Ive only seen
him in squash matches.)
Post match, MNM comes out and attacks Seth Skyfire, but Al Snow runs in w/
baseball bat and makes save.
Next Snow interviews Matt Capotelli, and asks him on his tag partner, Johnny
Jeter's condition. And he says that his vision is back to 50% after Jillian
Hall threw rubbing alcohol in his face. But he wants to challenge the
Tolins to a tag title match alone. Hence, the Tolins w/ Jillian Hall come
out and say why not have the match right now? And Al Snow makes the match 1
on 1 for a tag title shot, Tank Tolin vs Capotelli ( impromptu match, not
included in tv title tournament)
MAIN EVENT: MATT CAPOTELLI vs TANK TOLIN (tag title shot)
winner, Matt Capotelli w/ move similar to Muhammed Hassan's, except more
like a jumping, reverse Rock Bottom, if that makes sense..
So, the people that move on, in the TV Title Tournament are; Alexis Laree,
Seven, Paul Birchall, Aaron "The Idol" Stevens, and Buster Lashley.
This is only my second or third time watching the show ( cause I didn't know
it existed, cause its on the same day & time as Velocity ) so feel free to
