During this month’s draft, WWE is working hard on keeping the identities of the wrestlers who are jumping brands a secret. This past Monday, no one, including the wrestlers and agents, knew who would be appearing on RAW. WWE champion John Cena was rushed from a car to the backstage entrance area as Chris Jericho was headed to the ring for the Highlight Reel. JBL was backstage at RAW almost all day. Some believe he was used as a swerve for Cena.
For those of you who don’t want to read the spoiler, I won’t mention what superstar was moved to SmackDown. But we’re told that he was informed on Monday night by Stephanie McMahon and others about the plan and asked to keep it confidential. Again, the superstar was brought to the arena right after SmackDown kicked off.
This is a fantastic way to intrigue fans to watch RAW and SmackDown. Let’s hope to see a bit of a jump in the ratings.
Don’t forget that we will have live play-by-play of this Sunday's ECW One Night Stand PPV as it happens.
