Hey! I just got back from the RAW event in Binghamton, NY. The arena was pretty
much full, with the exception of where the cameras were positioned. It was very hot
inside the arena as temperatures outside were near 90 with very high humidity.
There were no dark matches before the Heat taping. Maria came out to do the ring
announcing. Here are the results from Heat, in the order of how they came out.
1) TNT vs. Super Crazy and Psychosis
I am not familiar with the tag team of TNT, but I heard that they are from Texas.
There were a lot of high flying luchador moves during this match. Super Crazy won
it with a roll up. After the match TNT tried to get cheers from the crowd, but we
were not buying their act.
Winners: Super Crazy and Psychosis
The hosts of Heat came out after the match.
2) Val Venis vs. Simon Dean
Simon comes out plugging his new energy drink, in which he suggests that Val drink
after coming up just short of beating Chris Masters last week on RAW. Simon
suggested that Val can use his drink to have more drive (which got laughs from the
crowd). Val takes a sip and spits it in Simon's face. Val wins the match with the
money shot.
Winner: Val Venis
3) Tajiri vs. Kid Kash
Lots of ECW chants during this match. No green mist but Tajiri wins the match with
a kick to the head.
Winner: Tajiri
4) The Heart Throbs vs. Hurricane/Rosey w/Stacy Kiebler (Tag Title Match)
Stacy looks a lot more sexier in person. Heart Throbs are a lot like Billy and
Chuck, only more disgusting. They backed the ref in the corner with pelvic thrusts
before the match. Hurricane wins the match with flying assistance from Rosey.
Winners: Hurricane and Rosey
I do not know who the ring announcer's name was, but I have not seen him before.
There was a fan who was passing out "O" signs before the show around the front row
for "Wooooooooooo", which could be seen during RAW.
J.R. and the King came out to a big pop. Before RAW began, John Cena's music video
aired and they shot T-shirts into the crowd.
After RAW ended, Eric Bischoff comes out and announces that there will be a street
fight match between Batista and Triple H for the World Title. But before that
match, he calls out Edge and Lita to give them an early wedding present-Kane.
1) Kane vs. Edge w/Lita
Edge tried to choke out Kane using the ropes, but the ref broke that up. The match
never officially ended, as I did not hear a bell. Edge tries to leave up the ramp
as Kane ignited the ring posts. Edge came back down only to be choke slammed by
Kane.
Winner: No Contest (Match never officially ended)
2) Triple H vs. Batista (World Title Street Fight Match)
Triple H used everything from twine, chairs, and steel ring steps, only to be
Batista bombed on a steel chair as Batista picked up the win. The ref kept counting
and taking the foreign objects away. I guess nobody told him that the match was a
street fight and there were no count outs or disqualifications.
Winner: Batista
Overall it was a great show. The pyro made it feel even hotter inside the arena.
The Broome County Arena does not have great ventilation, so the smoke from the pyro
lingered in the arena the entire night.
