Backstage News & Changes As A Result Of 11-Person WWE Draft

In case you missed it, here was the big 11-person trade made between RAW and SmackDown! on WWE.com last night:

Going to RAW: Chavo Guerrero Jr., Danny Basham, Rene Dupree, Mark Jindrak, Hiroko, and Kenzo Suzuki.

Going to SmackDown: William Regal, Candice Michelle, Simon Dean, Sylvain Grenier, and Steven Richards.

Here is some information on how this trade effects a few of these guys specifically:

-Simon Dean moving to SmackDown! will leave Maven behind in the dust. The two were getting a push as a tag-team, including a segment with Steve Austin during one of his one-night appearances on RAW.

-Danny Basham going to RAW obviously leaves his former tag-team partner Doug Basham in the dust, splitting up one of the few legitimate teams left in WWE.

-Sylvain Grenier's trade to SmackDown! kills one of the other remaining legitimate tag-teams in WWE, as La Resistance will now be split, apart, unless WWE decides to put Rene Dupree with Rob Conway, as both are still on RAW.

-It's also pretty interesting to note that Chavo Guerrero Jr. will be going to RAW, as WWE has been planning on repackaging the Cruiserweight division, and giving it a push. Guerrero will now miss out on any of that, as he gets thrown into the shuffle with many top-tier names who now find themselves flying the red colors on Monday nights.
