This has not been a good month for Marty Jannetty. After making his first appearance in WWE in close to a decade back in March (reuniting The Rockers with Shawn Michaels on RAW and a great match with Kurt Angle on SmackDown!), Jannetty was signed to a WWE contract. There were hopes that aside from his still-sharp in-ring skills, Jannetty could help groom younger talent. All that came to a screeching halt this month.
Chris Jericho made a Marty Jannetty reference on RAW last week, telling Shawn Michaels that his former tag team partner was probably in jail. There had been reports that Marty was arrested recently for some sort of a domestic disturbance.
New information has come out regarding his latest brush with the law. Jannetty, a born again Christian, was arrested on June 11th, 2005 for his third DUI (driving under the influence) offense - a felony. He was also driving without a license. The Florida Department of Corrections website has posted Jannetty's profile as well as his mugshot.
His third DUI conviction is believed to be the main reason behind him being one of the the 19 superstars released from WWE this week.
