I brought my camera and snapped over 90 pictures and
even got a couple video clips
The show opens up with the standard no-name loser no
one has ever heard of on the mic thanking us for all
being here, buttering us up, shut up already.
They play the National Anthem.
The show opens with Garrison Cade and someone whose
name I didn't catch (probably some nobody) versus the
Highlanders. So that's one guy who's done jack for a
year and three guys no one has ever heard of. Match
sucks, but being at a live show is definitely better
than watching it on TV so I'm actually watching it. If
it were on TV I'd flip the channel. I yell out "GO
BACK TO OVW" and no one around me seems to get it.
Typical. Cade and his loser partner win the match with
something, who cares, didn't see it. I didn't even
bother taking pictures of the match, it wasn't worth
the battery power.
The second match comes up, and it's Chris Masters. He
gets cheered, and it's a pretty decent pop. (crowd:
YAY!) I took a clip of the last half of his entrance
cause I know that by saying this, no one will believe
me, so I recorded it for proof if anyone wants it.
Rene Dupree is his opponent. Masters gets on the mic
and starts bashing Kitchener (crowd: BOO!) and then
insults Dupree. Dupree fires back by saying "I don't
know about you guys, but Masters looks more like a
Master-baiter!" Crowd laughs. I am confused because
Dupree is playing a face despite being a heel on TV up
to three weeks ago. So I boo him. Dupree continues by
saying he has a lot of friends in Kitchener, Ontario
(bullshit), Masters says something back, the match
starts. Masters wins the decent-enough match with the
Masterlock.
After this match, Stacy comes out to the third biggest
pop of the night. She says something I don't think
anyone was listening to, if you get my drift ;) and
then introduces a returning Trish Stratus. Trish makes
fun of Lita, showing us that she is coming back as a
face and we're supposed to just forget the heel thing.
Then we hear "THE WORLD'S LARGEST LOVE MACHINE....
VISCERA" and the first bar or so of his music, then it
stops. Good work sound guy, now we know what's going
to happen. That's what happens when you let morons
play the sound. Then Rob Conway's music plays, and he
comes out and insults Stacy and Trish. Stacy goes to
slap him, he catches her arm. Trish does the same and
gets caught. Then, OMG UNEXPECTEDLY, Viscera's music
starts up again and he comes out. Conway and Viscera
have a match in which Viscera does his "ass rape" move
to Conway (and I get a video of. My mother ruins the
clip by screaming through it :D) I yell out "VISCERA
IS WEARING MY CURTAINS" and get a bit of laughter from
those around me. I missed the end of the match because
it was so sudden, but from what I saw and was told, it
was the same finish on RAW last week with Viscera
falling over and Conway using the ropes for the win.
Lose the see-through pants, Conway, it's the most
disturbing thing about this gimmick.
Next is Shelton Benjamin vs Carlito for the IC title.
Shelton didn't half-kill himself this time, probably
figuring that the high risk moves aren't terribly
worthwhile in front of a crowd of about 3000. I'd have
to agree: save that for TV. Carlito comes out and
after a bunch of ducking and dodging Shelton, the
match finally starts. Carlito gets a moderate, but
noticeable "SIDESHOW BOB" chant due to his hair and he
looks genuinely confused. Guess he doesn't watch the
Simpsons. At one point, Carlito has Shelton in an
armlock and then slams him back first into the mat,
but Shelton kips up and smiles at Carlito. This
happens twice more, and that's when I
yell out "STOP NO-SELLING". I'm a smark in a crowd of
idiots. :( After an alright match, Carlito gets out of
the ring, Shelton follows, and at 6 Carlito flapjacks
Shelton into the
ring post. He has lots of time to get into the ring,
but causes a double DQ and gets a lot of flack for it.
The next match is Gene Snitsky vs Big Show. Show gets
a huge ovation, second biggest. Show gets Snitsky into
the corner and then goes "SHHHH!!" we all hush and
Show absolutely cracks Snitsky across the chest with a
slap. That stuff carries REALLY well through a small
arena like that. Then he does it again on the other
side of the ring. I wince every time he does it, that
stuff has got to hurt like hell. Show teases a
Chokeslam, Snitsky kicks his way out of it. Big boot
takes Show down to one knee, Snitsky bounces of the
ropes. Show catches Snitsky with the goozle and
chokeslams him for the pin before I can set my camera
to video mode. Damnit.
Then there's a strange match called "intermission" in
which nothing happens for 15 minutes. Oh... wait....
that's AN intermission. Right. Pee break.
We come BACK from intermission, the next match starts,
and it's two more nobodies I haven't heard of. Rosey
and Hurricane come out with Super Stacy.
This is also for the WWE tag titles. Wonder who'll
win.
The match is pretty hard to get into and the crowd is
quiet for the other team's offense, because nobody
knows who the hell these guys are. I consider yelling
"WHEN DID THIS TURN INTO HEAT" but figure no one will
be smart enough to get it anyway and so don't bother.
Crowd gets into Hurricane and Rosey's offense though,
and of course they win.
Eugene comes out, crowd goes pretty crazy. He ties
Show's reaction, which frankly I find surprising.
Angle comes out to a huge YOU SUCK chant. Angle gets
on the mic and backs Eugene into a corner, and then
calmly says "Eugene. Where are my gold medals?"
Eugene: "I forgot 'em at home." (crowd laughs) Angle:
You just made the biggest mistake of your life" and
hits a flurry of punches to start the match. It's a
pretty good match considering Eugene is in it (guess
Angle can make anyone look good) and Angle wins it
with the Anklelock/grapevine combo.
Next we have Edge and John Cena for the WWE title.
Again, I wonder who'll win. Cena's reaction is so
entirely loud that it drowns out the announcer and his
music. Edge pussyfoots around Cena, leaving the ring
multiple times to jaw-jack with people. Gets on the
mic and says something about how he will be the next
WWE champion. I can't understand a lot of what the
wrestlers say because they have the house speakers
turned up too loud and the wrestlers yell into the
mic. It's a small Goddamn arena, we have sensitive
acoustics. Jesus.
Cena gets impatient and attacks him from behind,
throwing him in the ring to start the match. A minute
into the match and Cena sees a big foam hand in the
crowd. He goes into the first three rows (this guy
seems to care nothing about what might happen if some
lunatic attacks him and security isn't around to stop
him, he loves the fans that much I guess) and gets the
hand. He beats Edge down in the corner then holds up
the hand so that the huge foam hand is giving Edge the
middle finger. Crowd laughs. Match continues, kind of
a short match for a WWE championship but it's going on
9:50 PM so I guess they have a two-hour limit for the
show or something. I get a video of Cena doing the
5-knuckle shuffle and then pumping up the shoes, and
he gets a good reaction for that. Edge counters a
corner-clothesline with a boot, then goes on the
attack for the next five minutes. Sends Cena into the
ropes, lays down, Cena jumps over Edge and
shoulderblocks the ref. It was pretty damn obvious
that was intentional. Edge gets his briefcase and
clocks Cena with it. No ref. The end comes when Cena
counters something that I wasn't paying attention to,
and gets an F-U for the win. Crowd roars again, and
Cena celebrates to end the show.
Biggest pops of the night:
3. Stacy Keibler
2. Big Show/Eugene (tie)
1. By far: John Cena
Biggest Heat:
3. Chris Masters (after he started bashing us)
2. Carlito causing the double countout
1. Edge
The show was pretty good. Being there live made it
good. If it were on TV I'd have changed the channel,
but being there to watch it live makes a garbage match
bearable, and a decent match great.

Stacy Keibler interviewed Trish Stratus until Rob Conway interrupted them
and tried to rough them up. Viscera made the save.

After the show, Jack Doan helped take down the ring and was telling fans
that his leg appeared to be sprained, not broken.

Hey everyone. I attended the wwe raw house show in kitchener last night. I am a longtime rajah reader and this is my first time sending in results, so hopefully I do a good job here.
The Highlanders vs. ???
Show starts off with the newly signed tag team of The Highlanders vs. 2 other jobbers who I didnt get the names of. Sorry, didn't really care to tell you the truth. Crowd actually booed them when they came out first even though they were intended to be faces. Highlanders got heat early on in the match, although nobody knew who they were except myself as I was the only guy screaming "Go Highlanders!" Crowd was dead for this match-up as it saw the jobbers win with a horrible roll up pinfall i believe.
Chris Masters vs. Rene Dupree
Masters gets a huge ovation to my surprise! As soon as his music hit, the crowd went nuts, and so did I. He cut a promo right away about how it was pointless to do the masterlock challenge in Kitchener, Ontario because we just plained suck period (to which I started a chant "We suck big time, *clap (x5)*) The crowd laughed, but most booed afterwords. Durpee comes out to heat until he grabs the mic and says Masters is a master alright...of Masterbating, to which the crowd went nuts and started cheering for Dupree. Quick match up with some good spots. The end came when Masters locked in his Masterlock for the submission victory. Dupree gets helps em and gets a decent pop.
Next up... Stacy Kiebler! (and may I just say she is so much more beautiful in person) Stacy gets a huge ovation and a "We love Stacy" chant from the horny male viewers in attendance. She then calls out her suprise guest...Trish Stratus! Huge cheers for both at this point. Trish tired to get heel heat by cutting a promo on how she was right about Lita being a slut all long and saying hate to say she told us, but the crowd were into both of them regardless... until the music hits and out comes Rob "Buff Bagwell" Conway. Conway says that yes they were looking really good tonight, then flexes his arms as if refering to his biceps. Huge heat and a "You're a homo" chant broke out. Conway goes to attack both until the 500 pound humping sex machine Visera comes out to start the next match up.
Rob Conway vs. Visera
Visera gets a nice crowd pop and a "We want Mabel" chant. Quick match-up thats see the Conway win it after Visera attempted a elbow drop and misses and Rob went for the pin with his foot on the ropes. Someone really needs to show him how to do this properly.
WWE Intercontinental Championship - Carlito* vs. Shelton Benjamin
Carlito gets a HUGE Pop. Crowd was really into him. Shelton came out first and got a decent one as well. Very good match up that saw alot of the same moves and concepts that these 2 have been having recently on televison, with Carlito not wanting to fight and using cheese moves for the upper hand advantage. Match ended when Shelton gets thrown to the outside of the ring and Carlito purposly keeps them both on the outside for the double count-out. Your winner and still Intercontinental Champion...Carlito.
-- Intermission --
Alot of "We want Cena" chants as the T-shirt guys were shooting shirts into the crowd. One went dead on and smoked some poor kid in the face, to which me and my friends laughed histerically.
Big Show vs. Gene Snitsky.
Snitsky got massive heat and Show got a decent cheer. Personally, he's still a big guy, but in person, I was actually expecting bigger, but i was still impressed. Crowd was dead for this good match that saw Show take in with a hard Chokeslam for the 3 count and pinfall.
Eugene vs. Kurt Angle.
Both get a huge ovation and the standard "you suck" chants during Angles opening. I was going crazy for Angle because he is my favorite wrestler of all time. Eugene chased referee like a dog when he entered the ring which was funny. Then Kurt Angle grabbed him and yelled "Where the hell are my olympic gold medals Eugene?" to which he replied he forgot them at home. haha! Funny stuff here. Angle then proceeded to dominate him until Eugene started "retarding up" as my buddy likes to call it, and nailed angle with the greatest rock bottom I have ever seen. But Kurt kicks out on a very very close 2 count! Kurt then nails him with an Angle slam followed up by the Angle Lock. Eugene taps out and Kurt Angle is the winner. Best match of the night so far in this viewers opinion!
WWE World Tag Team Championship - Hurricane & Rosey* (w/ Super Stacy) vs. ???
Two no name jobbers who looked the like smoking gunns came to the ring first to huge boos. Next, the tag team champions of the world with the beautiful Stacy. Wow, she looked even hotter the second time out in that outfit. Good match up. Again, this retarded crowd was dead for it as it saw Hurricane pick up the pin fall after Rosey lanched him in the air. The winners and still tag team champions of the world.... Rosey & Hurricane.
Main Event -
WWE Championship - John Cena* vs. Edge
Edge comes out first to a good ovation. He only got booed after his promo, which I will get to in a bit. No Lita by his side, even though it was advertized, but Trish and Stacy made up for that hands down. long pause and out comes WWE Champion Cena to a INSANELY HUGE pop, the biggest of the night. Edge grabs the mic and cuts the promo. The boos slowly start and a mild "You screwed Lita" chant. He says "Thats right. Thats why she isn't here tonight..haha! I Screwed Matt. I Screwed Lita...and tonigh John Cena...I Screw You!" Big boos and "homo" chants. My friends and I tired to get a "Doggy - Style" chant on the go, but the Kitchener fans have no energy what so ever. This was by far the best match up of the night as it saw a ref bump, cena getting a pinfall with the ref out, a low blow by edge where he posed in the low blow stance for literally 5 seconds, and huge shot to the head of cena with the briefcase. But He Kicks Out! Edge then waits for him to get up and goes for the spear, only to have it reversed to the quick F-U and the pinfall. Your winner and still WWE Champion....John Cena.
POST SHOW NOTES:
All in all... A very great show indeed. It is so much more better live! Me and my friends stayed after in the parking lot to see the wrestlers leave. We saw just about everyone too. I went crazy for Angle when he came out, but he declined to give autographs. I wasn't upset. I understand if he were to sign mine, he would have been there for hours signing everyones and the man put on one hell of a show, so no love loss what so ever. He did say thank you after I yelled out he was the best, which was awesome. Him and Big Show got in an Escalade and Show drove lol. Actually funny to see. Snitsky played off his gimmick as a way of not signing autographs which was funny. Even funnier was seeing him, Visera and Rosey fit into a Chevy Impala...no joke, lol. I told Carlito that Kitchener was not cool eh? and he laughed walking to his car. The only people who stayed for a bit to sign autographs were Visera (who gave me a high 5) Rosey, who a girl said he was lucky to come out with Stacy, to which i yelled out, "It's not luck, that big mans got the moves and hes loving it" to which he laughed and said "haha ya I try" I saw Trish up close. She is an absolute bombsell. The last 2 people to come out were Edge, who got a nice cheer and no Mfer heat at all as he stayed for 40 mins to sign autographs, and then the champ himself Cena who got huge cheers!!! I felt very bad for him though. I respect him so much more now after seeing him stay, with the obvious look of exhaustion on his face, just for his fans for over an hour to sign autographs. I managed to get closed enough for him to sign my ticket, since it was all I had, and I said "Thank you John. I really appricate it. And I did. By far my highlight of the night. Now i just gotta get a nice frame. Worst part of my night was running into a former hook-up classic. The level of akwardness was unreal lol, but I will live.
BIGGEST POPS
1. John Cena (Huge!)
2. Carlito
3. Chris Masters
4. Stacy, Then an even bigger one for Trish
5. Tie between Angle & Eugene
BIGGEST HEAT
1. Gene Snitsky (the only guy that got legit heel heat from the start)
2. Edge (on his promo and low blow)
3. Rob Conway
4. Angle
5. All the poor guys involved in the first match. (ps: HIGHLANDERS RULE!)
Thanks for reading my review!
