Christian vs Diamond Dallas Page
DDP beat Christian in a non-title match to set this one up. A face to face is followed by trash talking. DDP smiles, Christian slaps him then runs outside. DDP chases him back in where Christian ambushes with stomps and punches. DDP reverses Christian off the ropes into a tilt-a-whirl slam. DDP ducks a clothesline, slaps Christian in the face then hits a spinning clothesline for a two count. Christian rolls onto the apron, DDP advances and Christian drops DDP's throat across the top rope. Back inside Christian suplexes DDP onto the top rope then runs and shoves DDP off the apron and into the guardrail. Christian goes out and whips DDP into the ringsteps. Back inside Christian stomps. Cue a DDP chant. DDP punches back, comes off the ropes but walks into a Christian sleeper. DDP elbows the gut, Christian with forearms, DDP reverses off the ropes and delivers a swing slam. Both men get up at a five count, DDP ducks a swing and punches Christian down. Christian reverses off the ropes, DDP ducks a clothesline and knees Christian in the gut. DDP executes a powerbomb for a two count. DDP with an Irish whip charges but slides underneath the ring grabs Christian's legs and crotches him in the ringpost. DDP back in calls for the Diamond Cutter but Christian blocks it by holding onto the ropes and DDP falls to the mat. Christian gets a nearfall with his feet on the top rope. DDP catches a Christian boot spins him round and Christian counters another Diamond Cutter attempt with a reverse DDT. 1-2-kickout, this sends Christian pounding the mat and throwing a temper tantrum. Christian stalks DDP, DDP gets up, Christian goes for the Unprettier but DDP turns him round and finally hits the Diamond Cutter. 1-2-3. Here is Your Winner & New European Champion: DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE. Post match DDP leaves through the crowd and Christian throws another temper tantrum in the ring.

The Hardy Boyz vs Brock Lesnar w/Paul Heyman & Shawn Stasiak
Lesnar beat Jeff Hardy by stoppage at Backlash in his PPV debut before destroying Matt Hardy on Raw. Pre-match Heyman tells Stasiak to stay on the apron before Lesnar threatens Stasiak with another beating. Stasiak agrees to the instructions but is quite clearly on "Planet Stasiak". Hardys come out then Lesnar comes out with Heyman when Stasiak charges past them both and runs in to start the match. Jeff ducks and takes Stasiak down. Jeff with punches, Stasiak reverses an Irish whip, Jeff floats over but gets caught in a Stasiak spinebuster. Stasiak stomps and punches Jeff in the corner. Irish whip, Stasiak follows up with a sidewalk slam, nearfall. Reverse chinlock now applied. Heyman yells at Stasiak and tells him to get out of the ring. Jeff elbows free, Stasiak grabs the hair, Jeff with a jawbreaker tags in Matt who punches away at Stasiak. Matt gets reversed off the ropes ducks Stasiak and hits a side effect. Stasiak gets a double Irish whip and Lesnar prevents poetry in motion by pulling Stasiak out of harms way. Lesnar tags in, Matt tries to punch but Lesnar drives him into the corner and delivers battering rams and stomps before staring down Stasiak. Matt fights back, Lesnar misses a swing in the corner and Matt attacks again. Lesnar reverses an Irish whip but charges into a boot twice. Matt leaps off the second rope but Lesnar catches and delivers a backbreaker then powerslam. Lesnar knees Matt's gut twice, Matt off the ropes boots Lesnar in the head but charges into another powerslam. Lesnar elbows Jeff off the apron, Matt staggers up, Lesnar swats him down, no-sells punches and clubs Matt back down. Lesnar drives Matt into the corner and yanks him across the top rope by the hair. Lesnar chokes Matt with his boot before delivering a delayed suplex then picking him up, and driving him into the corner twice. Matt dodges a charge and Lesnar meets the ringpost. Stasiak tags back in and he misses a charge on Matt (now in a different corner) and Matt tags in Jeff who vaults in takes down Stasiak then lands a dropkick. Jeff with a double leg takedown and legdrop to the gut. Stasiak reverses an Irish whip but Jeff comes back with whisper in the wind for a nearfall. Lesnar is knocked off the apron and Stasiak gets a double Irish whip. Jeff charges into a backdrop but he lands on the apron. Meanwhile Matt ducks a charging Stasiak boots him in the gut and delivers a Twist of Fate. Jeff finishes Stasiak off with a Swanton Bomb and gets the 1-2-3. Here Are Your Winners: THE HARDY BOYZ. Post match Lesnar F5s Jeff then Matt and hits Stasiak with a spinebuster. Lesnar stomps Stasiak then dishes out a powerbomb as Heyman raises Lesnar's arm. We check a replay of the finish and of Lesnar destroying Stasiak.
WrestleMania VIII-Intercontinental Title
Rowdy Roddy Piper vs Bret "Hitman" Hart
Backstage niceities by Piper turn ugly when Bret vows to take back his belt. In the ring both go face to face before each backs away. Both lockup, jostle and exchange armdrags. Piper with a go-behind and takedown as Bret tries to get free and does so with a leverage move that sends Piper through the ropes. Piper quickly back in gets in Bret's face who shoves Piper who then retaliates by spitting. Piper calls for a test of strength, Hart obliges and both lock hands. With it even Piper kicks off and applies an armwringer which Bret reverses and cranks it up as he punches at Piper. Piper desperately tries to escape by placing his hand over Bret's face, chopping slapping, grabbing the hair and driving Bret into the corner but Bret still has ahold and takes Piper to the mat. Bret switches to a canvas hammerlock then armbar, Piper gets up and rakes the face. Bret off the ropes ducks a clothesline and hits a dropkick but Bret goes down favouring his shoulder. Piper is held back but Bret is playing possom and hooks Piper in a small package for a nearfall. A hot Piper slaps Bret, shoves the referee slightly and Bret shoves Piper back. Both jostle, Bret with a side headlock off the ropes, stepover, Piper catches a cross body attempt and both finally take a tumble over the top rope. Piper gets in first and sportingly holds the ropes open for a skeptical Bret who gets back in and the crowd applaud. Piper instigates for Bret to tie his shoe, Bret looks down and Piper drills him with a punch that drops him. Piper gets a telling off and Bret has juiced. Piper with stomps and punches rams Bret into the corner before decking him in the head and hitting a running bulldog for a two count. Piper pulls up Bret and bites him in the corner, Irish whip. Piper slaps Bret's head then gets him up and hits a high knee for another nearfall. Piper punches Bret in the head sends him off the ropes, Bret surprises with a sunset flip for two and Piper with punches and jabs quickly knocks Bret back down for a nearfall. Piper pulls Bret up again and both exchange punches, Bret runs the ropes and a flying forearm sends Piper through the ropes. Piper gets in and a double clothesline puts both men down. Piper makes it up halfway through the ten count and heads up top. Bret gets up and crotches Piper before pulling him forwards with his feet hooking the corner and pulls him down to the mat by the hair. Bret grabs the hair and delivers an inverted atomic drop and snap suplex for a nearfall followed by a side russian legsweep for another nearfall. Bret with a backbreaker goes for the Sharpshooter but Piper blocks by grabbing Bret's leg. Bret drops an elbow, tries for an elbow from the second rope but Piper gets a boot up. Both men on their knees exchange punches, both up Bret with a headbutt and side headlock. Piper sends Bret into the referee who hits the corner hard. Piper clotheslines Bret to send him outside. Piper goes out and rams Bret into the ringsteps before putting him back in and grabbing the ringbell. Piper gets in and lifts it over his head but is in two minds whether to hit Bret with it or not. After a while Piper seeing sense tosses the bell away and pulls up Bret and both exchange punches until Piper ducks and applies a sleeper. Bret maneuvers to the corner kicks himself off the turnbuckles and falls back on top of Piper and the referee is able to register the three count. Here is Your Winner & New Intercontinental Champion: BRET "HITMAN" HART. Post match Piper passes Bret the belt, helps him up and straps it on as we check the replay of the finish. Both men embrace and Piper opens the ropes for Bret and bigs him up to re-cement the friendship.
WrestleMania VII-Tag Team Titles
The Hart Foundation vs The Nasty Boys w/Jimmy Hart
Pre match comments are picked up from both teams. The Nastys vow to win while the Harts remain defiant. A young Macaulay Culkin is spotted having fun in the crowd. Bret and Sags lockup, Bret takes to the corner, the referee separates and Sags gets some sucker shots in. Hart sent off the ropes comes back with a Lou Thesz press and pounds on Sags then delivers an inverted atomic drop to Knobbs. Bret knocks Sags down and Knobbs through the ropes. The dust settles and Knobbs wants Anvil in. Anvil tags, Knobbs takes to the corner and hits him, Anvil reverses and slugs back before scoring with an Irish whip, hiptoss then shoulder tackle through the ropes. Anvil takes down Sags and the Hart Foundation slap hands. Anvil pulls Knobbs in from the apron and pulls him around the ring by the arm. Anvil with an armbar, Knobbs to the corner gets some shots in and tags in Sags. Sags with forearms, Anvil off the ropes throws down Sags and tags in Bret. Bret with punches rams Sags into the corner and hits a mounted ten punch assault. Sags off the ropes, Bret with a shot downstairs to the breadbasket then a side russian legsweep and an elbow from the second rope. At a one count Knobbs comes in, Bret punches, turns to Sags and Knobbs clobbers Bret from behind before Sags clotheslines Bret who falls to the outside. Anvil checks on Bret before chasing Jimmy Hart around the ring a little. Bret back in, Sags Irish whips and swats Bret with his boot before a backbreaker gets a nearfall. Sags presses on Bret's shoulders and knees his back before applying a camel clutch. Bret gets up and hits a neckbreaker but Sags tags Knobbs who runs in and knocks Anvil on the apron. The referee blocks Anvil's entrance, Knobbs drops elbows on Bret's back and picks up where Sags left off with the camel clutch. Bret gets Knobbs on his back and falls back to the canvas. Knobbs hooks Bret's leg as Sags draws Anvil in again to cause a distraction and allow a Nasty double team. Double Irish whip, Sags whips Knobbs into Bret who moves and clotheslines Sags. Bret reaches into a tag but the referee doesn't see it and orders Anvil out. Sags holds Bret and Jimmy Hart tosses in his megaphone, Knobbs catches and charges but Bret moves and Knobbs rams it into Sags and Bret crawls to his corner and makes the tag. Anvil punches both Nastys before picking up Knobbs and throwing him into Sags. Anvil with a double clothesline and a backelbow to Knobbs off the ropes. Anvil with a clothesline on Knobbs and nearfall. Anvil with a powerslam 1-2-broken up by a Sags axehandle. This prompts Bret to come in and knock Sags outside. Bret goes out and gives chase as Knobbs has Anvil in a side headlock in the ring. Anvil sends Knobbs off the ropes who steps over Anvil and hits Sags who's trying to get back in the ring. Jimmy Hart tries to stop Bret getting in by grabbing his leg but Bret punches him away. The Hart Foundation deliver the Hart Attack to Knobbs and Anvil covers but the referee is busy ushering Bret onto the apron. Jimmy Hart tosses Sags his helmet, Sags clocks Anvil and Knobbs slumps into a cover as Jimmy Hart hooks Bret's leg on the apron. No not like this 1-2-3. Here Are Your Winners & New Tag Team Champions: THE NASTY BOYS. Post match Jimmy Hart kisses the belts before passing them on to ecstatic Nastys while Bret checks on Anvil in the ring.
