Survivor Series 1991-8 Man Elimination Match
Ric Flair, Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase, The Mountie & Warlord vs
Rowdy Roddy Piper, Bret "Hitman" Hart, British Bulldog & Virgil
Piper spits at the opposition. All managers leave except for Sensational Sherri who stays ringside. Piper wants Flair but has to settle starting with DiBiase. Flair attacks Piper from behind allowing DiBiase to get the advantage. Piper comes back with a clothesline and an atomic drop that straddles DiBiase on the top rope. Sherri finds herself in the ring and she leaps onto Piper's back, Piper kisses her and that's enough to send Sherri to the back. Piper's team work on DiBiase's arm with frequent tags, Bret reverses a DiBiase Irish whip but misses with a charging knee. Bret blocks DiBiase's figure four attempt and scores some nearfalls. Bret stays on the offensive but DiBiase gets a hiptoss in and tags Flair. Flair misses an elbow, Bret with a headbutt cue Flair flop 1. Bret with an inverted atomic drop tags in Bulldog who slingshots Flair to the corner for Flair flop 2. Bulldog with a gorilla press slam tags in Piper who wins a slapfest that sends Flair to the outside where he does a third flop (which is getting annoying to watch). After meeting the ringsteps Flair tags in Warlord who wants Piper in a test of strength. A Roddy chant starts (these were frequent throughout the match) but Piper opts to tag Bulldog in. Warlord doesn't budge on Bulldog shoulder tackle attempts but a dropkick floors him. Bulldog with an Irish whip charges into a boot. The Mountie tags in and we cut backstage to Jimmy Hart watching on a monitor whining about the fact that he can't be at ringside with his protege. Back to action and Bret is tagged in. Seeing this Mountie scurries outside then tags in DiBiase. Bret gains the advantage and sustains it with a backbreaker and elbow from the second rope which gets a nearfall before both men floor each other with simultaneous shoulder tackles. Mountie and Bulldog tag in and Mountie gets a clothesline, backelbow and gorilla press slam. Flair interferes and Bulldog goes after the heels. Flair and DiBiase Irish whip Bulldog who comes back and clotheslines both down and hits Warlord away. Bulldog powerslams Mountie and covers but the referee is tied up with Piepr's team. Flair comes off the top rope onto Bulldog and Mountie is pulled into a cover 1-2-3. Bulldog is out. Piper goes after everyone but gets beatdown. Flair with a snapmare and kneedrop delivers a Whooo to Virgil on the apron. Flair misses a second kneedrop and Piper applies the figure four. After a while DiBiase stomps Piper to release Flair before tagging in and working on Piper's leg. Piper hooks a cradle for two before DiBiase tags Mountie who traps Piper in a Boston Crab. Piper inches to his corner and makes the tag to Virgil who knocks Mountie down before delivering an Irish whip followed by a clothesline. No one wants to tag Mountie who eats a Virgil backelbow. Flair finally tags and he and Virgil exchange slaps before Virgil knocks down Flair (Flair doesn't sell Virgil's offense well). Virgil reverses a Flair Irish whip and hits a backbodydrop. Flair wants mercy and tags in DiBiase who Virgil really wants to get at (DiBiase regained his Million Dollar Belt just before this match after assisatnce from the debuting Repo Man). DiBiase tries to sucker Virgil in but Virgil responds by ramming DiBiase's head into the corner x10. DiBiase stops the momentum by catching Virgil in a powerslam off the ropes. Warlord then tags in and throws Virgil through the ropes outside where Flair throws him into the ringsteps. Bret helps Virgil back in where Warlord softens up Virgil and locks in a full nelson (Chris Masters take notes). Everyone gets in and during the commotion Bret breaks the hold and drops Warlord following a shot to the back from the top rope. During the commotion Piper rolls Virgil out and covers Warlord and despite not being the legal man the referee counts 1-2-3. Flair's team dispute this and Piper grabs DiBiase by the trunks and rolls him up 1-2-broken up by the Mountie. DiBiase with a backelbow, Piper blocks a DiBiase suplex and delivers one of his own. Virgil tags and knocks down DiBiase with jabs and two clotheslines. DiBiase rakes the face, Virgil ducks a clothesline and traps DiBiase in the Million Dollar Dream but DiBiase escapes by driving Virgil into the corner. DiBiase crawls over and tags Flair who gives Virgil a back suplex and chokes with his boot as he tags Mountie in. Mountie stomps and dropkicks Virgil before mounting the second rope and screaming "I am the Mountie". DiBiase tags in and Mountie assists DiBiase chops by holding a prone Virgil in position. DiBiase elbows Virgil down before taunting him by saying he took his belt back. DiBiase with a gutwrench suplex, tags in Flair and Virgil is the recipient of a double clothesline. Flair gets a nearfall with his feet on the ropes before taunting Piper. DiBiase tags, clothesline, Virgil counters a backbodydrop off the ropes with a swinging neckbreaker and Flair and Piper get tagged in. Piper no-sells Flair offense and pokes Flair away. Piper with a mounted six punch assault in the corner, Flair tries a running inverted atomic drop but Piper stands firm and pokes Flair down before ramming his head into the corner x8. Piper unloads on everyone which brings everyone in. Piper catches Flair up top and brings him crashing down before a Piper Irish whip sends Flair upside down and outside the ring. The remaining five men brawl inside the ring and the bell suddenly goes. The action spills outside as Flair gets in the ring all alone and the official word is the referee DQed everyone that was brawling in the ring except for the one man on the outside who happens to be the sole survivor. A screwjob of a finish but nonetheless... Here is Your Winner & Sole Survivor: RIC FLAIR. Post match Piper sends Flair over the top rope, DiBiase through the ropes and Mountie gets out of dodge as Piper, Bret and Virgil raise their arms in the ring to fan adulation and Piper's music.
ECW November 2 Remember (18/11/95)-ECW Championship Match
Mikey Whipwreck vs Steve Austin
Whipwreck had beaten Sandman for the title and Sandman was scheduled for a rematch here but Austin jumps him during his entrance with cane shots and a stun gun onto the guardrail. Austin pops a beer and poses in the ring to ECW chants. Damage control tend to Sandman who is taken out and Austin in via the backdoor now gets the title shot. Austin gets on the mic and calls out Whipwreck who makes his way out. Austin says November will be remembered as the debut of Steve Austin, the clumsy Sandman couldn't make it to the damn ring and that Whipwreck doesn't deserve to be in the same ring, building as him and should get his ass out of the ring while (Joel Gertner) announces him. Austin says he's Steve Austin and tonight for a very, very short time Whipwreck's name is Eric Bischoff. Austin repeats wanting Whipwreck out and says he's not Flair or Hogan as his name's Austin. Whipwreck turns to exit the ring but Austin jumps him sending him through the ropes. Austin throws Whipwreck into the apron before punching and dropping him onto the guardrail. Back inside Austin with punches and an elbow to the neck talks trash before booting Whipwreck in the gut and stomping him. Austin holds then chokes and stomps Whipwreck in the ropes while he talks to the fans. Whipwreck gets pulled outside and is whipped into the guardrail. Austin with slaps tosses Whipwreck back in and delivers a snapmare. A Hogan chant is aimed at Austin so Austin delivers a big boot and drops a leg and covers for a nearfall before chucking Whipwreck over the top rope. Joey Styles says "that lame ass crap ain't gonna get it done here" with reference to the Hogan moveset. Whipwreck takes a hit on the guardrail on his way down, Austin removes his shirt and drops Whipwreck onto the guardrail. Whipwreck reverses a whip into the guardrail and fights back by knocking Austin down. Austin points to his elbow (recently injured) but Whipwreck attacks and puts Austin back inside where Austin goes to the corner and again points to his elbow. Whipwreck with stomps and punches pulls up Austin who reverses Whipwreck off the ropes and delivers a stun gun. Austin pauses to pose on his knees then covers 1-2-no. Austin pulls up Whipwreck and shoves him into the corner where Austin unloads with punches and chops. Whipwreck off the ropes goes for a sunset flip, Whipwreck pulls down Austin's tights and hooks them for the surprise 1-2-3. Joey Styles squeals he's got him and Mikey wins as Austin's ass is on show. Here is Your Winner & Still ECW Champion: MIKEY WHIPWRECK. Post match Austin clotheslines Whipwreck before delivering boots and a kneedrop as a Mikey chant starts. Austin throws Whipwreck through the ropes before taking his own leave to end a November 2 Remember for Austin.
SummerSlam 1988-Intercontinental Title Match
Honky Tonk Man w/Colonel Jimmy Hart vs Ultimate Warrior
Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake was due to face Honky but Outlaw Ron Bass "injured" Beefcake the weekend before on Superstars to put him out of the title picture. Backstage Honky wants a challenger and doesn't want Mean Gene to tell him who it is. Honky says he can Shake Rattle 'N' Roll anybody and loves surprises. Honky comes out and on the mic asks for someone to get out here. He doesn't care who it is. With that the Warrior's music plays and he comes charging out. Warrior blocks a Honky punch and takes him down with roundhouses as the bell gets this one underway. Warrior fires up delivers a slam then a flying shoulder tackle off the ropes. Warrior with a clothesline, hits the ropes and splashes Honky. 1-2-3. A quick squash and one that Honky's career sadly never recovered from. Oh well. Here is Your Winner & New Intercontinental Champion: ULTIMATE WARRIOR.
WrestleMania VII-Blindfold Match
The Model Rick Martel vs Jake "The Snake" Roberts
This feud started when Jake appeared on the Brother Love Show but Martel showed up and sprayed Arrogance onto Jake's snake bag. Jake intervened and got sprayed in the eyes and Jake was visually impaired for a while and Martel and Brother Love taunted him until Jake got his hands on Brother Love and DDTed him. Jake and Martel's feud continued and this blindfold match-a first in the WWF was determined to end the feud. Jake cuts a classic promo backstage beforehand: "The Blind leading the blind? Even a fool knows that a man only has five senses. A snake he has six. We always do it better (smile) in the dark". Both men come out and get hooded and the fun begins with both men walking round the ring looking for one another for a few minutes with Jake getting close a few times. Jake finally grabs a leg, Martel wriggles free but falls back over Jake who gets a nearfall. Martel throws Jake off of him and chokes on the mat with his hands then punches away. Martel sends Jake off the ropes and puts his head down but Jake runs off course and both men lose one another again. Both slowly cross paths by bumping into each other back-to-back and both run off and hit the ropes in separate directions with Martel ending up on the canvas. Jake senses Martel and advances but when he gets to the corner Martel has already moved. Jake locates Martel again who slams Jake. Jake gets up and Martel elbows the canvas then hits the mat in frustration. Martel touches the snake bag and cowers back in fright. Jake grabs Martel who squirms away and now Jake gets frustrated. Jake finds Martel and applies a side headlock but Martel sends Jake off the ropes and bumps into him sending Jake through the ropes. Martel finds his way out and picks up a chair and swipes at air. Jake has got back in and Martel steps back into the ringpost and thinking it's Jake takes a swing but feels the pain himself as a result. Jake crawls and pulls Martel back in but Martel punches Jake and executes a backbreaker then cinches in his Boston Crab. Jake powers out and sends Martel crashing head first into the bottom turnbuckle. Martel staggers back into Jake who catches him and delivers a DDT. It's lights out Martel but Jake's lost him. Jake eventually reaches round and drapes an arm into a cover for the 1-2-3. Here is Your Winner: JAKE "THE SNAKE" ROBERTS. Post match both men are dehooded and Jake destroys Martel's arrogance then drapes his snake over Martel who gets out of dodge and rubs snake grease off of him in disgust as he clambers to the back.
