Puder Praised at OVW, Kennedy Heads Home, CM Punk Debuts, More

Daniel Puder was praised for returning to the OVW tapings last night. Paul Heyman said he showed a lot of professionalism by returning to put over Johnny Jetter. Puder stretched out the OVW champion on a recent taping and didn’t have to comeback. But unselfishly, Puder did return, put over the champion Jeter, finished up with WWE and said goodbye to people he may not see for a while.

Ken Kennedy had to head back to his home in Minnesota to deal with a serious family illness. Kennedy was expected to finished up with OVW through October but instead management told him that he should head home and be with family first. On behalf of the entire website, we send our thoughts to family of Kennedy.

There was a lot of praise for the Ken Doane vs. Brent Albright and Matt Cappotelli vs. Johnny Jeter storylines during the meeting as well. The Doane-Albright match at the taping was said to have been off the charts and have been one of the better matches in recent memory with an emotional double pin ending. I was told the entire post-match meeting was a really emotional affair, with Paul Heyman giving one of his trademark impassioned motivational talks. At one point, even Al Snow got emotional, which caught a lot of people off guard as Snow has a reputation for being a hard ass (but fair) trainer to the talents.

Tommy Dreamer was at last night's OVW taping and was also at Deep South Wrestling in Georgia the day before working with the talents stationed there.

CM Punk made his official TV debut for OVW last night facing Danny Inferno. Unfortunately, Punk ended up at the hospital with an injured eardrum and possible broken nose. There is also reason to believe that Inferno injured his quadriceps as well.
