WWE Sunday Night Heat Report (09/18/05) From Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

WWE Sunday Night Heat Report-18th September 2005
By Shaun Best-Rajah.Com Reporter

Welcome one and all. Here's what went down on Heat last night live at the Ford Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Todd Grisham and The Coach welcomed us to the show and first we see highlights from Raw this past week of the handicap match and post match beatdown of John Cena by Kurt Angle. Grisham intercepted Cena arriving earlier in the day and Cena was limping. Grisham asks about his ankle. Cena said "You tell everybody that my ankle's fine. I'm going to put some tape on it and I'll be fine and it ain't going to stop me beating Kurt Angle tonight" before walking off. Throughout the night we're urged to order Unforgiven on PPV or on WWE.Com. Matt Hardy vs Edge highlights package airs. We're reminded that Stone Cold Steve Austin is the guest on the Season Premiere of the Bernie Mac Show this week and we see an exclusive scene of him trying to put a chokehold on a kid a couple of times. King is standing by backstage with Ashley and Trish where he remarks it's good to be the King. King asks Ashley what it feels like to have Trish Stratus as her partner. Ashley says a few months back she was watching Raw as a fan and tonight she's at her first PPV and is teamed up with the best WWE Women's Champion ever. She's stoked. Trish adds she's sitting back and watching Torrie & Candice & Victoria or as she likes to call them tweedle dum, and dumber and deener. They talk about how they're the number one divas on Raw but Trish thought the number one diva on Raw had the Women's Title. Trish points to it and King thinks she's pointing at her breasts. Trish corrects King before saying the WWE's newest Diva Ashley and the best Womans Champion ever at Unforgiven are going to show Torrie & Candice & Victoria and the guy selling popcorn what a diva's all about when we finish them off just like that. King drools as they walk off. We take a look at clips from the Unforgiven Press Conference from this past Tuesday when the Oklahoma City Mayor declared this past week as WWE week. Fans turned out and superstars vowed to win as is the norm with these. Sunday Night Heat is brought to you by "Corpse Bride," "M&Ms" and "Burnout Revenge." We get a video package recapping Ric Flair and Carlito before Maria stands by backstage with Carlito. Carlito cuts off Maria and tells her to get out of his face to which a glum looking Maria obliges. Carlito then cuts the following serious promo. "Ric Flair, The Nature Boy, Sixteen time World Champion. People call you a legend, big deal. You think being a Sixteen time World Champion impresses me? I'm Carlito, the greatest Intercontinental Champion ever. I've held this title only one time because no-one's been able to defeat me for it and tonight at Unforgiven you won't be any different. I don't fear you. I don't respect you. I spat in your face one time and tonight I'm going to do it again and after Unforgiven people won't be calling you a legend they'll be calling you a loser." "Calling" by Taproot is the Official theme of Unforgiven and it's available now. Grisham and Coach run down the eight match card which leads us into seeing the recent goings on between Shawn Michaels and Chris Masters. Match time now so let's get to the action.

Rob Conway vs Tajiri
JR and King call the action. Tajiri receives a nice pop. Conway leaves his shades on to start which Tajiri points out to the referee. Lockup, Conway slaps on a headlock then hits a shoulder tackle off the ropes before passing his shades to the referee. Tajiri ceremonially sprays green mist into the air. Tajiri with a headlock, off the ropes, Conway leapfrogs then hiptosses Tajiri. Conway applies an armwringer and yanks Tajiri down by the hair. Tajiri nips up, kicks free, Conway reverses off the ropes and executes a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Tajiri goes to the corner and Conway stomps a mudhole then hammers Tajiri with punches before yelling that's the Con-Way. Conway pulls up Tajiri and Irish whips him into the same corner and quickly follows through with a clothesline which gets a one count. Conway slaps Tajiri's head, forearm, Tajiri off the ropes eats a backelbow and Conway flexes his elbow before dropping a fist on Tajiri and getting two more one counts. Conway with a rear naked choke, Tajiri responds to the crowd support and elbows free. Tajiri punches then runs the ropes and counters a tilt-a-whirl by landing on his feet and hitting Conway with a rolling back kick to the gut then a modified running bulldog off the ropes. Tajiri hits a spinning heel kick and fires up. Tajiri with a stiff kick, Conway reverses off the ropes but Tajiri comes back with a handspring backelbow. Tajiri kicks Conway into the corner, Conway reverses an Irish whip but charges into the Tarantula. Tajiri breaks it at a four count and signals for a high risk move. Tajiri heads to the top rope then leaps off but Conway catches him with a boot to the gut before swiftly finishing him off with the Ego Trip. 1-2-3. Here is Your Winner: ROB CONWAY. Post match Conway takes his leave as we check a replay of the finish.

A video package chronicling Kurt Angle and John Cena's latest feud airs stretching back to since Chris Jericho's firing and we see a shot of an intense Kurt Angle as Heat fades to black to end the show. I'll be back Wednesday with Shaun Selector results then next weekend with Velocity, Heat and more Shaun Selector. Catch you later. Shaun.
