WWE RAW Report (9/26/05) - Waco, Texas

The last RAW on Spike opens with Vince McMahon coming to the ring. Vinnie-Mac talks about what a great show RAW will be tonight. He then goes through WWE leaving USA, going to TNN which then turned to Spike. He said Spike and WWE were great Tag Team partners. He then thanked Spike for being such a good partner. But next week RAW returns home. Vince then spoke about next week’s three hour Homecoming show and the matches that will be on that show.
He didn’t get too far before he was interrupted by Kurt Angle’s music. Vinnie-Mac got a grin on his face and started conducting Waco, TX in a rousing rendition of, “You suck” chants for Angle. Once Angle got to the ring Vince was pissed at the interruption.
Angle said he was upset that Vince picked Bischoff to face Cena next week to the title belt. Angle says he deserves a shot at the title - whoever wins next week’s match. The crowd Boos loudly. Vince says he’s qualified for a title match...
Then HBK interrupts Vince. Vince announces HBK and dances along with him. HBK calls Vince, “Moneybags” and says he want clarification as to why Angle gets a title match. Because if all it takes is winning at Unforgiven - then HBK wants a title match. Angle doesn’t like that idea, but the crowd chants, “HBK, HBK, HBK.” Angle says he made HBK tap at ‘Mania. HBK reminded Angle that he beat him at Vengeance.
“I beat you first,” whined Angle. They started bickering. Vince jumped in and said next week they will have a rubber match and the winner will face Cena. But, not just a regular match. It will be a 30 minute Iron Man Match.
Vince said he’d promised to start this show off with a title match. Trish’s music hit. Trish comes to the ring with Ashley. Both are dressed in black.

Slam Of The Week showed Trish beating Torrie Wilson last week, then the subsequent beating given to her and Ashley by the three female heels.

Victoria comes to the ring. Torrie Wilson and Candace Michelle are with her. All three of them are wearing red and black outfits. Torrie has the tiny dog with her again.
The match starts with fists flying between the two. Trish nails Victoria with a Head Scissors maneuver which sends Victoria from the ring. But Victoria retaliates by smashing Trish’s lower back into the side of the ring, then sending her over the barrier into the audience. Trish hit Victoria with a forearm, then a Clothesline from the top of the barrier. Trish throws Victoria in the ring, but while trying to climb in herself Torrie pulls her from the apron. Trish’s face slams to the apron before she hit the floor.
As Torrie and Candace celebrate, Ashley comes over. Ashley grabs them both and slams their heads together, then bitch slaps Torrie. Victoria grabs Ashley, who is atop Torrie pounding her head into the floor, and tosses her aside like a rag doll. Victoria then tosses Trish back into the ring. Victoria does her famous Somersault Legdrop over the top rope onto Trish and goes for the cover. Trish kicks out. Victoria then locks on a Headlock that looks more like a Chokehold. Trish works her way out.
Victoria hits a Spinning Sidewalk Slam on Trish and goes for another cover. She’s pissed when Trish kicks out again. Trish sends Victoria into the corner. Victoria climbs up and sits on the top. Trish ends up sitting hin her lap as they exchange blows. After a particularly hard blow from Victoria both girls fell from the top to the floor. Victoria climbs back in the ring first, but Trish isn’t far behind. Victoria tries to hit Trish repeatedly, only to be blocked and punched by Trish. Trish sends Victoria flying into the ropes and then hits her with a Spinebuster. Trish goes for the cover, but no three.
Victoria rakes Trish’s eyes and goes for a Clothesline, but Trish does a backbend to avoid it. Trish goes for a little Stratusfaction. She hits the move and covers Victoria. She would have gotten the three is Torrie and Candace hadn’t rushed the ring causing a DQ.
Trish and Ashley fight back against all three heels, including a Chick Kick directly to Torrie’s face. Victoria and Torrie get tossed from the ring leaving Candace to get the worst beat down of the three. Ashley then stripped Candace’s dress off her. Candace looked oh so upset being seen in her bra and panties (as if she hasn’t paraded around him her bra and panties many, many times for the WWE fans - never mind the fact that Torrie was standing there wearing less than Candace after losing her dress). Candace takes a mic and starts yelling at Trish and Ashley. She calls Trish a slut and asks Ashley if she’s ever been publicly embarrassed such as what they’d just done to her. Candace tells Trish and Ashley the three of them will get them back next week - in a bra and panties match.
The three heels leave. Victoria and Torrie trying to shield the audience from seeing Candace’s body. In the ring Ashley is holding out Candace’s red dress playing matador as Trish plays the bull charging it.

Outback the Big Show is walking along, apparently heading for the ring.

Big Show comes to the ring for a Street Fight. His opponent is Gene Snitsky who comes to the ring with a chair in his hand.
They do a short recap of the feud that led to this match.
Snitsky goes after Show with the chair, but Show moves out of the way, then punches the chair. Show slaps Snitsky’s chest. They move to another corner ans Show slaps Snitsky’s chest again. Snitsky stops an Irish Whip and starts beating Show down in the center of the ring. Snitsky jumps from the ring and gets some weapons from under the ring. Snitsky starts beating Show with a street sign. When Show is prone in the ring Snitsky goes for a quick cover, but no dice. Snitsky gets a trash can and starts to hit Show with it. But Show’s had enough. He gets up and Headbutts Snitsky which sends him flying into a corner.
Show wedges the trash can between the top and second ropes in the opposite corner from Snitsky. Show grabs Snitsky and sends him back first into the trash can. When Show goes after Snitsky again he gets tripped and falls head first into the side of the still wedged trash can. Snitsky leaves the ring and comes back with another trash can. He sets it in the center of the ring, and then tries (as if) to Suplex the Big Show. Show picks up Snitsky and slams him back first into the trash can in the center of the ring. When Snitsky gets up Show hits him over the head with a trash can lid, knocking him back down. Show then hits him with the lid again and Chokeslams Snitsky to the mat.
Rather than covering Snitsky he crawls from the ring, reaches under and comes out with a kitchen sink! (I don’t think I’ve ever seen a kitchen sink in a match before.) Show hits Snitsky over the head with the metal kitchen sink, which doesn’t crumple like everything else metal in the ring. Show covers Snitsky for the win.
Show walks up the ramp, kitchen sink in hand.

- Winner: Big Show Via kitchen sink

Outback Ric Flair is talking to Maria. Not an interview, not conversation heard, just shown.

Recap of Flair and Carlito’s feud. They also showed Carlito and Masters attack on Flair last week.

Back to Flair and Maria talking outback.

- Commercial

Upon returning from commercial a mini-preview of “The Self-Destruction Of The Ultimate Warrior. It’s due out on Sept. 27th. I’d heard that this was a really rough DVD, but from what I saw it looks down right ugly.

Ric Flair comes out on the stage, mic in hand. He talks about how he’s been beaten down in his career, even jumped from behind. But, he always comes back and gets revenge. He may not do it alone, but he always has friends. He mentions the 4 Horsemen from his past. But now it takes just one. Flair walks outback and comes back with a sledge hammer. He announces the return of HHH next week. He calls HHH his beat friend then points to the Titantron.
On screen is a really good video montage of HHH and what he’s done to people in the ring, all set to his theme music.

Out back shows Bischoff on his cell phone talking about who’s going to be on the show next week. He’s interrupted by Cena walking into his office. Cena takes the cell phone and yells into it, “He’ll have to call ya back!”
Cena then starts talking about next week’s match between them. Cena talks about how he went on the internet and found out Bisch is a ninja. He then pulls out Bisch’s cell phone and takes a picture of Bisch saying it’s going to be the last time he’ll be able to see his face as it is now.
Cena leaves and Bisch looks all upset. Cena comes rushing back yelling. He rumples the front of Bisch’s suit and says he know kung foo too, partner. Bisch looks quite unhappy.

WWE Rewind shows a bunch of beautiful Shelton Benjamin clips.

Shelton Benjamin comes down to the ring. Kerwin White comes to the ring in his golf cart being followed by his caddy Nick. Why he needs a caddy to carry his golf clubs behind the golf cart I don’t know, but if it makes him happy, then what’s the big deal?
Shelton picks up a mic and comments of Kerwin’s new caddy, “Someone to carry around your clubs and wash your balls. It doesn’t matter if you are on a golf course or in a WWE ring... Chavo sucks.”
Shelton and Kerwin start fighting in the ring and the ref starts trying to get the caddy out of the ring and wrestler the club away from him. Kerwin dashes at Shelton who picks him up in the air then lets him drop flat on the mat. When Shelton tries to go after Kerwin he is tripped and eats the second turnbuckle. Kerwin follows it up with a Dropkick. Kerwin continues to stomp Shelton down on the mat. When the ref wasn’t looking Kerwin ripped at Shelton’s face.
Kerwin hit a Snap Mare Takeover and got Shelton in an Armlock. The whole time he had this hold locked on he was ranting that his name was Kerwin, NOT Chavo! Shelton broke out of the hold and nailed Kerwin hin the gut with a bunch of elbows. Shelton then hit a Back Body Drop. As Shelton went after Kerwin, Kerwin pulled down the top rope sending Shelton over. But Shelton held on and Skinned The Cat. Shelton went for his corner Splash, but Kerwin moved. Shelton landed with his feet on the top ropes. He turned around and hit Kerwin with a Flying Clothesline.
Kerwin ended up on the apron and tried to shoulder Shelton in the gut. Shelton moved out of the way then Suplexed Kerwin into the ring. Kerwin landed on Shelton and covered him for the win. Nick, the caddy was holding Shelton’s foot to keep him from kicking out.
Shelton attacked Kerwin after the match was over. Really started to beat him down until Nick the caddy ran in and broke a golf club over Shelton’s back. That was the end of that and Kerwin left in his golf cart with Nick following behind.

In the ring someone is setting up a ladder in the ring, but why?

- Commercial

The ladder is still in the ring when Edge’s music hits. Edge comes out with Lita. Lita is wearing a soft neck brace. Lita gets a mic and starts talking about Matt Hardy. That the only thing he accomplished with giving her the Twist of Fate was proving what a looser he is. She said she was speaking for the entire world when she says they’re going to be just fine without him. She says she knows a lot about twists of fate. Some can be vicious, others ironic. Such as 5 years ago, the first night on Spike TV. Edge and Christian VS the Hardy Boyz in a ladder match. She was there to support her man... How things have changed.
Lita hands the mic to Edge and takes the briefcase. Edge tells Matt it’s only one week left until their ladder match. This time the stakes are much higher. It’s not just the Money in The Bank, it’s the end of a career. Edge says he becomes a career killer and Matt will be gone. The crowd is chanting, “Hardy, Hardy.” Matt might not die, but Edge never loses in one on one matches when the stakes are high. That’s why Lita is with him, not Matt. He tells Matt he’s a looser - the whole time climbing the ladder and sitting on top.
The crowd begins to get louder and Edge looks up to the stage, as if he expects Matt to be there. Instead Matt is right next to the ladder. Lita leaves the ring quickly as Matt grabs the side of the ladder and shakes it. He starts toying with Edge, pushing and pulling the ladder slightly. Just enough to make Edge nervous. Edge is yelling down at Matt telling him he’d better not do it. Matt lets go of the ladder and starts to back away. Matt tells Edge he has one week and turns to leave the ring.
When he gets to the ropes he turns around, walks back, grabs the ladder and starts pushing. He pushes the ladder over. Edge’s right leg gets slightly caught on the top rope before falling to the mat and rolling out to the floor. Lita yells at Matt and backs up the ramp with the briefcase. Edge slides/crawls away from Matt and the ring.

Outback Bischoff is watching a monitor when Teddy Long shows up. Bisch is pissed and threatens to call security. Long brings up Smackdown’s move to Fridays and maybe there should be some Smackdown exposure next week on the Homecoming show. Bisch say no way. The Vince McMahon walks in and talks about how next week’s show is three hours, almost like a PPV. How at some PPV’s there is both RAW and Smackdown competing against each other. How about doing something like that next week on RAW? Vince tells Long to come up with a great match because Vince would love to see certain people on RAW, if only for one night. He threw out names like Benoit, Rey Mysterio and Batista. Long agreed and left.
Bischoff and Vince started talking about Bischoff’s match next week with Cena. Bischoff asked Vince to reconsider the match, again. Vince tells Bischoff he has friends and is ruthless. If he wants to shake up the WWE and put on a great show? “What about Eric Bischoff, WWE Champion?” Vince grins and walks off leaving Bisch deep in thought.

But Rob ends up with a Spinebuster.
Eugene starts going for The People’s Elbow, and makes it. He goes for the cover, but doesn’t get the win. Eugene then turns into Hacksaw Jim Dugan yelling, “Hooooo.” Eugene went into a three point stance and then charged Rob. But Rob held up the Eugene Bear and Eugene stopped dead in his tracks. Rob threatened to rip the head off the bear and Eugene pleaded. Rob did it, he ripped the head off the bear, then kicked Eugene in the head. Eugene went for The Ego Trip.
