Spike TV Issues Statement, More Edge/Matt Hardy News, Big Show, Foley, RAW

Spike issued the following statement regarding WWE and what happened last night:

"We had a good five years with WWE and we wish them well."

That's it.

Following up on the Matt Hardy story from earlier, here is the card for the House Show "Supershow" in Salt Lake City:

John Cena vs. Kurt Angle for the WWE Title, Batista vs. Eddie Guerrero for the World Hvt. Title, Rey Mysterio vs. Randy Orton, Chris Benoit vs. JBL for the U.S. Title, Ric Flair vs. Carlito for the IC Title, Christy Hemme vs. Torrie Wilson with Candice Michelle as special ref in what is billed as an in "Interpromotional Diva Match," The Big Show vs. Edge (w/Lita) in a match that is not billed as Interpromotional, and Road Warrior Animal & Heidenreich vs. MNM for the World Tag Team Titles.

Notice that Edge vs Big Show is not being advertised as interpromotional, which would leave some to believe that Matt Hardy will indeed be moving to Smackdown! after his match with Edge.

Apparently, WWE promised to praise Spike TV as their partner over the years in exchange for them not censoring anymore comments about the move to USA Network. This deal as reported earlier, was worked out during the broadcast itself.

Mick Foley will be at the Phillies game tonight signing autographs.

USA Network has changed the start time for WWE back to 8 pm after they had originally planned to start the show at 7:55. This move can be attributed to the fact that Spike TV countered USA/WWE by programming UFC starting at 7 pm and really left WWE with no reason to begin the program 5 minutes earlier.

Big Show will be appearing tonight on Conan O'Brien.
