WWE.com has posted an interview with Matt Hardy in which he announces he has signed with the SmackDown! brand. Hardy will debut with SmackDown! this week as a guest on Christian's interview segment, The Peep Show. Below are hilights from WWE.com's interview with Hardy:
- He is glad to be away from Edge and Lita. Hardy said: "It’s just one of those weird things with Edge, Adam Copeland. I can go in the ring and have great matches with the guy. As a performer, I think he’s amazing. As a human being, I think he’s a piece of sh*t." He compares his working relationship with Edge to that of Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart. The two had a bitter feud behind the scenes, but were still able to make it happen in the ring.
- He is excited about moving back to SmackDown!, the birthplace of Matt Hardy v1.0. He looks forward to wrestling Christian, Rey Mysterio, JBL and Batista.
- The door is never closed for a rematch with Edge. "I would almost bet money that there will be another or more Matt Hardy vs. Edge matches. "
- Regarding WWE Diva Search Winner Ashley Massaro, "Ashley and I traveled together and hung out. I think Ashley is an awesome person. We spent some time together and I think each one of us made the other happy. We definitely enjoyed each other’s company. Now it’s a little different because she’s on RAW and I’m on SmackDown and we won’t see each other as much, but you never know. She’s a great person and a great soul. She’s really working hard and trying to do good in WWE as a sports-entertainer. I think she’s going to be really good because she has an awesome attitude and a great mindset. I really dig Ashley."
