-Spike TV bid 70 million dollars to help offset the loss of WWE by getting the rights to the Star Wars films, which will begin airing on the network in April of 2008.
-At the Retroslam convention in Whippany, NJ Dawn Marie made her first appearance since being released from WWE. When asked if she would return after the birth of her child, Marie indicated that it would be unlikely for her to return to WWE in the future.
-There was some talk that WWE may move Michael Cole over to RAW to replace Jim Ross, but WWE continues to look outside the company for someone to replace Ross. Ross, who had surgery yesterday is still expected to return and take over announce duties for WWE.com. However, with the outcry of Ross's firing from RAW, he could possibly return to RAW in the future especially with the Austin vs Coach match at Taboo Tuesday.
Keep in mind, they never said if Austin wins he would return to RAW, just that he would get his job back with WWE, so there could be some wiggle room for WWE if Austin was to win. Then again, they could have Austin be fired as well and play that into an angle later this year or early next year.
