Coach was really giving it his all on Monday night, but he is said to be very nervous about being the lead announcer on RAW and has even second guessed himself wondering if he is the natural fit for the position. Coach was said to be nervous backstage and started sweating during the show. Coach is very well liked backstage and it will be interesting to see if he improves over the following weeks.
The Rock "finally" returned to WWE.com to talk about his new movie Doom, but he was asked some questions about a return to WWE:
About Vince McMahon:
"I have a great relationship with the 'Old Man,'" "The way the contract, and the ending of the contract went down, it was what it was. The relationship is good, and there door is always open. And I love wrestling. Any opportunity I get to go back and dip in for a night and just start talking trash and electrifying, I'd do that for sure."
Going back to the rumors of The Rock facing Sting at WrestleMania 21:
"A guy I regret not working with, who I grew up watching, would be a guy like Sting in his prime," Rock said. "And on the current roster, I always wanted to work with Rey Mysterio. I'd love to go against him with me as a heel in San Diego...He's just one of those gifted guys that can have a great match with anyone."
Asked about Shawn Michaels:
"I was never ever interested in working with him."
As to the point of Rock vs Sting at a future WrestleMania, it is not out of the question that it could happen, however at this time there seems to be no talk of it among people in WWE. It could be a good way for the WWE to lure both Rock and Sting back even if it was only for one big payday.
