Hey guys thought i would just come on and let you know that the Raw survivor serious
tour came through Adelaide last night and i attended.
Great show, very pumped up crowd that was hot all night and a few empty seats here
and there but i would still call it a sellout show.
Pyros Started and we were welcomed by Lillian wearing an aussie flag top who sang
the ozzie national anthem very well might i add
Shelton Benjamin defeated Snitsky. Not bad match, shelton did his regular "miss a
spot" bit and the crowd let him have it. "Lots of You Fu**ed up chants", but fans
were quick to forget.
Kerwin White defeated Tajiri by holding the ropes. Ok match, crowd was into the
match only when tajiri hit his offensive spots (spider, superkicks)
Rob Conway defeated Eugene with the ego trip. Funny match, lots of kids were into
eugene, but alot of the older fans were for conway. Match went for a good 15 mins,
10 of which they just stood around milking time. I stood up and yelled "is this a
wrestling match or what?" at which point conway turned around and said "you would
fu**ing think so!" Funny moment.
HBK and Rick Flair defeated Carlito and Kurt Angle. All four got tremendous ovations
but HBK stole it. "Whoos" throughout the ENTIRE match. Lots of angle suck chants
too. HBK got a tremendous response hitting the elbow from the top and the sweet chin
music. Good match with flair being busted open.
Trish Stratus and Ashley Defeated Torrie Wilson and Victoria. Ok match, crowd really
into it since most of the crowd were guys
Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch defeated Viscera and Val Venis. decent pop for vis and
a decent match. First 10 mins were just milking time by cade trying to make val
start rather then vis. Lance got on the mic and started saying how he wants vis to
start or they wont wrestle so the crowd started singing "Nah nah nah hey hey
goodbye" Lots of "Inbred" chants too at which point murdoch took the mic and said "i
cant be inbred, im not australian!" MAJOR heat on that but funny none the less.
Didnt relise how funny murdoch was especilly the drooling and the angry shaking.
Big Show defeated Chris Masters. Not bad match HUGE pop for show. Masters got the
"goodbye" song sang to him too
John Cena defeated Triple H. Main event and decent match. Cena got a HUGE response
but so did Triple H. Half the arena was split between hunter and cena. Lots of boos
for both. MAJOR pops for pedigre and FU. Cena won after ric flair came to his aid.
After the match Cena got on the mic and said how he had never been to a place with
so much live energy and asked flair back into the ring. Told him how flair is one of
the greatest of all time and flair said how withouth the superstars and the fans wwe
would be nothing. They then shared a beers, toasted us and left.
I also think there might have been another match but i cant remeber who but overall
a great show. Merchendise stands SOLD OUT COMPLETLEY of carlito T-shirts so i was
not to happy about that and they were also selling a fair bit of smackdown stuff
too.
