- Reportedly, the WWE No Mercy PPV drew roughly 195,000 buys. Going into the PPV, WWE executives had feared that the show would produce less than 200,000 buys and obviously those expectations came true.
- WWE continues to use an excuse that Steve Austin missed the recent Taboo Tuesday PPV due to a "sore back". However, most insiders believe that had Austin been booked to defeat The Coach, he would have certainly showed up and worked the show.
