-- Though no one knows for sure, the rumor is that Paul Heyman was dismissed from the writing team for getting caught red-handed "not telling the truth". According to one source, it may have been that he was caught listening in on a RAW writer's call.
-- There were reportedly other contributing factors to Heyman's dismissal from the writing team including clashing with Stephanie McMahon on various ideas, arguing with Vince McMahon and leaving meetings and conference calls early.
-- There has been recent talk of reviving the ECW brand for one night at a PPV sometime in 2005. The idea was first relayed to Vince McMahon through Rob Van Dam and according to reports, McMahon, Jim Ross and others liked it. However, Stephanie McMahon apparently was against it and refused to discuss it in any great detail. However, when the ECW DVD opened strong, Heyman approached Vince in front of Stephanie and asked again about the PPV - forcing Stephanie to address it right at that instant. As the story goes, Stephanie still did not want to do it and as of this writing, it is unknown whether the idea will ever materialize.
