- As reported, Steve Austin is no longer with WWE and is considering working in Japan soon. Austin is ready to return to the ring and there is still a possibility of him working the May 8 Pride show. One option being considered is for Austin and Goldberg to wrestler each other for the first time on PPV. One problem with promoting the PPV is that Austin does not have footage of himself from ECW, WCW, and WWE that could be used to hype the PPV event. WWE owns all of the footage of Austin from all three companies. Goldberg would only be able to use Pride footage, as WWE owns Goldberg's WCW and WWE footage.
- Austin is still listed as a RAW superstar on the WWE website. His official website, Stonecold.com is still listed also but is "under construction". Austin merchandise remains to be listed in Shopzone, but none of his items is in the top ten list based on sales.
