SmackDown! Superstars Worried About The Brand Ending

Several SmackDown! workers have been expressing their increasing concern over the future of the brand. SmackDown! clearly had the weaker roster last year and hopes that they would receive a much-needed boost from the Draft Lottery were crushed last month. Unfortunately, all signs point to the fact that UPN seems to have no long-term plan to keep the brand on its network.

Moving to Fridays this fall, the show will be put in an very undesirable time slot and will suffer from multiple pre-emptions in some of the biggest national markets. Many are worried that when the deal with WWE and UPN ends in September of 2006, it could spell the end of the SmackDown! brand and the roster split altogether.
