A member of the Blackpool Combat Club will be absent from a group match scheduled for a big non-AEW event this coming weekend.
On Monday, AEW issued an open letter to inform CMLL that Wheeler Yuta is not medically cleared to travel or compete as originally scheduled for the CMLL: Homenaje a Dos Leyendas event on March 29, 2024.
Yuta was originally scheduled to join fellow Blackpool Combat Club members Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli in a battle against CMLL veterans Mistico, Volador Jr., Blue Panther and Ultimo Guerrero.
Due to the late change, Yuta has been pulled from the CMLL show on 3/29, and in his place in somewhat of an honorary BCC member for a night position is fellow AEW star Matt Sydal.
