AEW Dark Recap (11/30): Adam Cole, More In Action

Hello again everyone, and welcome back to the Rajah.Com recap of AEW Dark.

The latest episode of AEW’s weekly YouTube program featured 10 matches, including a number of “All Elite” wrestlers. Check it out:

AEW Dark

-Excalibur welcomes all of the viewers into the show, and introduces his broadcast colleague, Taz.
-The Pinnacle walks to the ring, and it’s time for the opening match.

Wardlow & Shawn Spears vs. Bear Country

The referee calls for the opening match bell, and tag team action is underway! Shawn Spears and Bear Bronson tie it up right away, and Bronson powers Spears into the corner. Bronson looks for a follow up splash, and misses, then gets caught with a right hand from Spears. Shawn capitalizes on the miscue, and mounts some offense for a moment, until Bronson smacks Spears into the canvas. Bronson makes the tag to Boulder, and fires away with a chop on Spears, who calls for a timeout. Spears tags in Wardlow, and the two giants struggle to gain a power advantage over each other. Wardlow sweeps the legs of Boulder out from under him, but Boulder hops right back up! Boulder sends Wardlow to the outside of the ring, and Spears comes over to chat with him, until Boulder launches himself through the middle rope with a dive! Bronson makes a legal tag in, as well as Spears, and Bronson is in full control of the match. Spears makes a quick tag out, and Wardlow comes in on fire, landing strike after strike on Bronson. Wardlow finishes off the attack with a earth shaking spinebuster, and tags in Spears, who picks up the pieces. Shawn lands consecutive strikes, and tags in Wardlow, who tries to finish the match, but Bronson blocks the attempt. Bronson makes a hot tag to Boulder, and Spears tags in on the other side, then runs straight into Bear Country. Both members of Bear Country briefly handle Spears and Wardlow, until Wardlow kicks out of a powerbomb from Boulder at 1. Boulder scurries to the middle rope, and tries a big splash, but Wardlow moves out of the way! Wardlow answers the miss with a clothesline, and follows up with a fireman’s carry, but Boulder rolls off of his shoulders. Boulder sends Wardlow into his own corner, and Spears rushes in, then immediately gets leveled by both members of Bear Country. Boulder lifts Bronson up for the assisted splash, and drops him onto Spears, but Wardlow catches Bronson with the Casualty of War for the 1-2-3.

Winner: Wardlow & Shawn Spears

Kilynn King vs. Renee Michelle

King gets the crowd going before a tie up, and drives Michelle into the corner. Kilynn and Renee exchange words for a moment, until King reaches for a test of strength. Michelle fires away with a slap instead, and sends King into the corner, then lands a pair of elbow strikes. Michelle follows up by stomping a mud hole in King, and takes her to the center of the ring for a cover. King kicks out, and springs to her feet, then misfires on a roundhouse kick. Renee throws a roundhouse of her own, and nails it, then hooks the leg for a cover. Kilynn gets her shoulder up just in time, and Michelle shows her frustration for a moment, until misfiring on a splash in the corner. King capitalizes with a release German suplex, and hooks the leg for a cover, but Renee is still in it! King tries to follow up, but gets rocked with an elbow strike by Michelle! King shakes it off, and nails Renee with Kingdom Falls for the 1-2-3.

Winner: Kilynn King

Santana & Ortiz vs. Gus De La Vega & Brandon Gore

Gore kicks off the bout with Ortiz, who immediately applies a side headlock. Ortiz lands a takedown on Brandon, who tags out to De La Vega, and Gus comes in with a full head of steam. Ortiz quickly cuts him off, and sends Gus into the canvas with a thunderous spinebuster! Gus decides he doesn’t want anymore of Ortiz, and tags in Gore, who doesn’t fare any better. Gore gets trapped in Ortiz and Santana’s corner, who tags in, and takes Gore for a ride with a hammer throw. Santana continues to dominate his opponent with a trio of suplexes, and Gore tags in Gus once again. Santana remains on offense, and tosses Gus into the corner, then nails an assisted cutter! Santana and Ortiz put Gus De La Vega away with another double team maneuver, and Santana makes the cover for the 1-2-3.

Winner: Santana & Ortiz

Skye Blue vs. La Rosa Negra

The bout begins at a rapid pace, and La Rosa quickly takes Skye down to the canvas. La Rosa continues to have the early advantage with a spinebuster, and nearly puts the match away with a cover, but Skye kicks out. Blue turns the tables with a clothesline, and kicks it into second gear with a hurricanrana! Blue drives La Rosa into the corner, and hits a pair of kicks from the apron, then heads to the top rope for a diving cross body into a pin! La Rosa kicks out, but Skye keeps her foot on the gas with a suplex, followed by a Flatliner for the win.

Winner: Skye Blue

Alan “5” Angels vs. Mike Reed

Angels and Reed size each other to start the match, then tie up, until 5 runs the ropes. Alan nails Reed with a shoulder tackle, and follows up with an Irish Whip into the corner, then takes full control of Mike in the center of the ring. Reed slows things down with a shot to the midsection, and goes for a rollup, but Alan blocks the attempt. Both men get tangled up in the ropes for a moment, until 5 capitalizes on a mistake by Reed, and heads to the top rope. Angels nails a diving crossbody, followed by a step up enziguri, sending Reed to the floor. Alan follows up with a torpe suicida onto Mike, and tosses Reed back into the ring. Alan tries to follow up, but Reed stops him with a right hand, and misses with a left. Alan takes advantage of the miss by Reed, and nails the Wing Snapper for the 1-2-3.

Winner: Alan “5” Angels

Ryo Mizunami vs. Dani Jordyn

The referee signals for the match to begin, and both women start very slowly. Jordyn pulls out her “burn book,” and shoves it in the face of Mizunami. Jordyn controls the early portion of the match with a few strikes, until Ryo begins to fire up! A big exchange breaks out, until Mizunami blasts Jordyn with a knife edge chop. Ryo drives Jordyn into the corner, and unleashes a furry of strikes on Dani, then Irish whips her into the opposite corner. Ryo goes on the chase, and rocks Jordyn with a spinning back elbow, followed by a leg drop. Ryo makes a cover, and Dani kicks out, but Ryo remains in control. Ryo sets up for a powerslam, and drives Jordyn into the canvas for the 1-2-3.

Winner: Ryo Mizunami

The Butcher vs. Michael Martinez

Before the referee calls for the bell, The Butcher attacks Martinez in the corner of the ring. The bell sounds, and The Butcher manhandles Martinez into the opposite corner. Michael stops The Butcher with a kick, which sends the Hardy Family Office member into the corner. Martinez follows up with a big boot, and looks to hit another one, but The Butcher blocks the attempt. The Butcher unleashes a brutal assault on Martinez, and nails a thunderous power slam for the victory.

Winner: The Butcher

Julia Hart vs. Nikita Knight

Julia gets the crowd going to start off the match, until both ladies tie up in the center of the ring. A nice grappling exchange breaks out, until Hart lands a shoulder tackle take down. Julia follows up with a hip toss, followed by a splash, but she doesn’t make a cover. Hart continues to show dominance, until Knight turns the tables with a big shot to the midsection. Knight works over Julia in the corner, and drags her to the center of the ring for a massive minchinoku driver! Julia somehow kicks out of a pin attempt, and makes it back to her feet, then runs the ropes. Knight runs the ropes as well, and both women collide with drop kicks. After Knight and Hart make it back to fighting stance, Hart goes on the offensive, and hits a splitting leg drop! Julia continues to show innovative offense in the corner, and follows up with a split legged bulldog for the win.

Winner: Julia Hart

Infinito vs. Ray Jaz

The bell sounds, and Infinito claps it up with the crowd for a moment. Both men tie up, until Ray scores a takedown. Ray tries to follow up with a suplex, but infinito blocks, and goes on the offensive. Infinito works over the arm of Ray, until Jaz cartwheels out, and grabs a hold of his own. Infinito tries to break free, and does, then unleashes an impressive offensive display. Infinito hits a pair of monkey flips, and sends Jaz to the outside, then follows up with a torpe suicida. Infinito tosses Jaz into the ring, where a brief hockey fight breaks out, until Infinito lifts Jaz for an airplane spin. After dozens of rotations, Infinito rolls up Jaz for the 1-2-3.

Winner: Infinito

Adam Cole vs. Anthony Greene

Neither man rushes out of the gate, until Cole drives Greene into the corner. Adam takes a moment to yell “Adam Cole Bay Bay,” and goes on the attack. Adam controls Anthony with strikes, followed by a bodyslam, and another “Adam Cole Bay Bay!” Greene capitalizes on the mistake from Cole, and sends Adam to the apron, then blasts him to the floor with a drop kick. After a verbal exchange, Greene goes on the chase, and gets hit with a pumpkick. Cole continues to beat Greene all around the ringside area, until Adam tosses Anthony into the ring. Cole keeps his foot on the gas with consecutive strikes in the ring, and applies a headlock, until Anthony breaks free. Greene runs the ropes, and gets blasted by a back elbow from Cole. Greene gets frustrated, and both men hit massive haymakers, until Greene slows things down with a wicked jaw breaker/neck breaker combo! Greene hits the ropes, but Cole springs up, and lifts Anthony into the air for a big slam. Cole struts into the corner, and calls for a superkick, then rocks Greene! Cole heads to the top rope, and sets up for the Panama Sunrise, but Greene avoids it! Greene surprises everyone with a Minchinoku Driver into a pin, and makes the cover for the 1-2-NO! Cole kicks out on instinct, and Greene tries to stay on the gas, but Cole nails a backstabber! Adam makes the cover, and Greene kicks out just in time, then tries a surprise roll up. Anthony immediately hits a crucifix bomb, and tries a pin, but changes gears into a half Boston crab. Greene continues to work over the leg of Cole, until Adam tries a roll up, and follows up by running the ropes. Cole misfires on a knee strike to the back of Greene, who stops the rally by Cole with a stiff right hand. Anthony runs to the top rope, and leaps off for a dive, but Cole superkicks Greene right out of the sky! Cole follows up with the knee strike to the back of the head of Greene, and makes the cover for the 1-2-3.

Winner: Adam Cole
