AEW Holding Shows At Smaller Arenas In 2025; More Details On Upcoming Live Events

-- AEW recently announced a whole slate of live events for later this year and running through the first quarter of 2025 and there were some interesting details that came out of it.

-- The first is that AEW will be filming three straight nights at the Hammerstein Ballroom which will include Dynamite, Collision and ROH. The shows will be Friday-Sunday the weekend before Christmas which will allow the talent and production staff to be off the road for Christmas week.

-- AEW has generally run large arenas even if they were far from selling it out and in the new year, things look to have changed a bit as the promotion is running a number of smaller, more intimate venues. AEW previously would run the large Yum Center in Lousiville, KY which can hold around 20,000 seats but in January they are headed to the Broadbent Arena which is much more compact and holds 6,600 seats. Another example is AEW deciding to hold a show at the Arizona Financial Theatre (capacity 5,000) instead of The Footprint Center (capacity 18,000) where they ran previously.

-- Finally, after Christmas it can be seen that there are only three live Saturday Collision shows through mid-March and none after February 8. Instead, AEW has scheduled Collision to be taped three times before/after Dynamite on Wednesdays and there's also a special Thursday taping in January. AEW Rampage looks to be pretty much done in 2025.
