AEW News & Notes: Several Wrestlers Return At Revolution, Hook Unable To Compete, Mistico Is #AllElite

-- During last night's AEW Revolution PPV, several talent who had not been seen on TV made their returns to the promotion, including:

  • Adam Copeland & Christian Cage - away since last fall, the duo re-appeared to confront FTR following their successful title defense over the Young Bucks. Copeland and Cage have been out since September when FTR attacked Beth Copeland causing her husband Adam to take time off as a way to write him out of storylines.
  • Will Ospreay - made his return after being sidelined more than half the year following a neck injury and subsequent surgery. He came back looking for revenge against the Death Riders, who were the ones to take him out of action from a storyline perspective.
  • Kenny Omega - After Swerve Strickland defeated Brody King and was ready to assault him further, Omega came down for the save.

-- Bryan Alvarez of f4wonline.com reported that AEW's Hook was not medically cleared and thus unable to compete in the 21-man Blackjack battle royal as originally planned. It's not known exactly what injury Hook is dealing with but the report noted that he is expected to be fine, so likely not serious.

-- CMLL mainstay Mistico returned to AEW and won the Trios Title along with Kevin Knight and “Speedball” Mike Bailey. Following the show, AEW President Tony Khan confirmed that Mistico is "All Elite" meaning he has signed a contract with the company.
