AEW President Tony Khan spoke to TMZ to promote the upcoming All In: Texas PPV and one topic that he touched on was the inclusion of legendary commentator Jim Ross, who has battled his share of health issues lately but recently indicated that he would definitely be at All In. Khan raved about Ross and called him an indispensable part of AEW after Ross previously indicated how supportive Khan was as he was going through his health problems.
"Jim Ross is an indispensable part of AEW. He’s the greatest wrestling commentator of all time. I first heard JR’s voice when I was nine, eight years old, and he immediately hooked me with his commentary. He is a great man. He’s done so much in wrestling and he’s the original voice of AEW. When he launched the promotion, he was the commentator on our first PPV, Double or Nothing. JR was on the original Dynamite."
"He’s been through some really tough health battles, and I think it’s important to stand with Jim. Jim’s done a lot for AEW and me personally. It means a lot that I can be there and stand by Jim in a tough time for him and it’s so great to hear that Jim is doing much better now. We’re all wishing JR the best in his recovery. Everyone in AEW loves JR. He has been a huge part of AEW from the very beginning, and it’s great to have him in AEW now as part of the team. I can't to have JR back when he's healthy and ready to go. It's a real blessing that JR is recovering from his health challenges."
Ross' role at All In is not clear both sides sound like they are hoping that he is able to commentate a match.
