Last Thursday night, TNA Wrestling held its debut episode of iMPACT on AMC as part of the company's new media rights deal. TNA and WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray made an appearance to provide commentary for the main event match between Frankie Kazarian and the new TNA World Champion, Mike Santana.
According to Fightful Select, in addition to his commentary role on the AMC premiere of TNA iMPACT, Bully Ray also contributed to some backstage work at the event. The report noted that Ray helped produce several backstage segments featuring Kazarian, WWE star AJ Styles, and Santana. He also delivered a motivational speech ahead of the show to inspire the roster, which was reportedly well-received. Additionally, sources within TNA mentioned that Ray made other "quiet contributions" backstage.
The report indicates that there have been discussions about potentially continuing the relationship between Bully Ray and TNA, though there are currently no plans for him to wrestle again. Ray's last match took place at TNA Bound For Glory 2025, where he and D-Von Dudley teamed for the final time against the Hardys. After the match, both D-Von and Bully Ray handed their boots to the Hardys as a symbolic gesture.
