Backstage News On Chris Jericho's Current Contract Status With AEW

According to Fightful Select, former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho is officially back with All Elite Wrestling (AEW), as a new deal has been finalized in the past month. While specific details of this contract have not been disclosed, it is believed that Jericho has signed a multi-year agreement with the company.

The report also mentioned that Jericho had discussions with WWE regarding a potential return to the company. He apparently expressed to others that he was open to returning to WWE, but he felt that the promotion would try to limit his outside projects. In terms of how he will be referred to, it was noted that Jericho prefers to be called simply “Jericho,” although the name Chris Jericho will still be used at times on television.

Jericho's previous contract with AEW was originally set to expire at the end of 2025. However, it was extended due to the time he spent away from weekly programming. He went on a hiatus from AEW in April, during which there were rumors about a return to WWE once his contract expired. Ultimately, that did not occur, as Jericho returned to AEW television during the April 1st episode of Dynamite.
