Backstage News On The Dudley Boyz’s In-Ring Status Following TNA Bound For Glory

The Hardys (Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy), who hold the WWE NXT and TNA World Tag Team Championships, defeated Team 3D (Bully Ray and D'Von), also known as The Dudleyz, at TNA's Bound For Glory pay-per-view event last Sunday. The match, which was a Tables Match, saw The Hardys successfully retain both of their titles. After the match, Bully Ray and D'Von handed over their boots, implying that they were retiring from in-ring competition.

According to Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, he was informed that this was D-Von Dudley’s final match in professional wrestling. Meltzer also mentioned that he does not believe Bully Ray/Bubba Ray Dudley’s in-ring career has come to an end. This news is not particularly surprising, as D-Von originally retired in 2016. However, he stated in an interview promoting the match that this was his opportunity to leave the ring on his own terms.
