Backstage News On Jeff Jarrett’s Status As AEW Live Events Manager

Pro wrestling legend Jeff Jarrett previously held the role of AEW's Manager of Live Events, in addition to his on-screen appearances. However, two weeks ago, the company posted an opening for this position.

According to Sean Ross Sapp in the latest edition of Fightful Select Answers, Jarrett is no longer serving as AEW's Manager of Live Events and has instead been acting solely in a talent role for some time. This change comes after Jarrett has not wrestled for the company since his storyline with MJF at the beginning of the year. In that storyline, Jarrett expressed his desire to pursue the AEW World Championship, only to be taunted by MJF. The following week, he faced Claudio Castagnoli in an attempt to earn a World Title Match but lost the bout, after which MJF attacked him.

Jarrett has made a few appearances outside of AEW, the most recent being at 1 Fall Wrestling's "Back to School Bash" event in August. As of now, there is no information on when Jarrett might return to AEW television, but updates will be provided as they become available.
