WWE star Rusev has been noticeably missing in action for several weeks, last wrestling in a losing effort against Jey Uso on the November 21 episode of WWE Smackdown. And now we know why.
According to a new report by PWInsider, Rusev's absence from WWE TV is simply due to the company's intentions to keep talent who are not actively involved in storylines "fresh" by keeping them from appearing on Raw and Smackdown without direction.
A similar report was relayed earlier this month by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter where he noted that the Street Profits's recent absence was not injury related at all but that the decision was made to pull them off TV to allow their characters to freshen up.
