Backstage News On Several Indie Talents’ Status Following Recent WWE Tryout

According to Fightful Select, WWE recently held an EVOLVE taping that revealed several new WWE ID talents. Notorious Mimi, who performed under the ring name Sloane Jacobs at the tapings, has been confirmed as one of the new signees. The report also noted that Valentina Rossi, who previously worked in AEW as an enhancement talent, has signed a WWE ID deal.

In addition, Fallyn Grey has signed with WWE as an ID prospect. Freelance wrestler Airica Demia is also a WWE ID prospect and will be working under the name Anya Rune moving forward, as previously reported by Bodyslam+.

Jacobs is a former WWE star who signed with the promotion in early 2022 after a successful tryout session. She performed on NXT as Sloane Jacobs but was released from her contract in November 2022. Last month, she confirmed on social media that she would be participating in another tryout session. Rossi competed under the ring name Gianna Capri.

Grey will be using the name Veronica Haven, a trademark the company recently filed. Demia, a second-generation wrestler, has already competed for the WWE ID Women's Championship twice and has also appeared in NWA and ROH in the past.
