This past Friday at TNA Sacrifice 2026, Steve Maclin challenged Mike Santana for the World Championship. The match was abruptly stopped after Maclin was knocked down by a superkick shortly after it began. He was assisted to the back, and Eddie Edwards came out to provide some entertainment for the audience after the interruption; however, Santana ended up attacking Edwards.
It’s widely believed that Maclin's injury is legitimate and not part of a storyline. According to reports from PWInsider.com, there are early concerns that he may have suffered a concussion. This information has not yet been officially confirmed, and Maclin was still being evaluated backstage at the time. Sources indicate that he was coherent but visibly upset about the situation.
