Backstage News On TNA Wanting AJ Styles To Wrestle On iMPACT’s AMC Network Debut

As previously reported, TNA Wrestling and AMC Networks have announced a multi-year partnership that will bring TNA’s flagship show, iMPACT, to AMC and AMC+.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that a WWE source indicated TNA Wrestling has expressed a strong interest in having AJ Styles appear on the first-ever episode of iMPACT on the AMC Network, scheduled for Thursday, January 15, 2026.

Meltzer also mentioned that TNA had considered Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida, as a potential venue for its TV tapings and for hosting weekly live broadcasts of iMPACT. However, those plans did not materialize, and the company will continue to tape its shows at various locations as it has been doing throughout the year.

Styles, who played a significant role in TNA Wrestling for many years, made an appearance at the Slammiversary event this past July. However, WWE reportedly did not allow him to wrestle at the event. The Phenomenal One has expressed a desire to compete in one final match for TNA but acknowledged that it is unlikely to happen since he probably won’t receive approval from WWE.
