According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, several WWE NXT stars are being discussed for a call-up following WrestleMania 42. These stars include Ethan Page, Ricky Saints, Blake Monroe, and Jacy Jayne. Page, Saints, and Monroe were all significant signings from other promotions, while Jayne has been a part of NXT for five years.
The report also mentioned that Lola Vice and Tony D’Angelo's recent title victories suggest they are unlikely to be called up at this time. In contrast, Sol Ruca appears to be a strong candidate for a promotion, as her main roster appearances have garnered positive feedback.
Furthermore, Joe Hendry is another NXT star in line for a call-up. WWE has shown faith in him by having him face Randy Orton at WrestleMania. Following that, he had encounters with The Miz on SmackDown, which indicated a potential main roster call-up; however, he returned to NXT and won the championship. Although his character seems to have reached its peak, comparisons can be drawn to Danhausen, who experienced similar doubts before joining WWE and subsequently became a merchandise success.
Dave Meltzer pointed out that Hendry is 37 years old, and he speculated that if Hendry is not called up, it might indicate WWE’s lack of confidence in the character succeeding on a larger stage.
