Backstage News On Why NXT Stand & Deliver Was Moved Away From WrestleMania Weekend

As previously reported, WWE has officially moved NXT Stand & Deliver away from WrestleMania 42 weekend. The NXT premium live event (PLE) will now take place on Saturday, April 4th, at The Factory at The District in St. Louis, Missouri. Tickets for the event, which is scheduled for the same city as the April 3rd episode of SmackDown at the Enterprise Center, will go on sale Wednesday, March 4th, with a pre-sale starting on Tuesday, March 3rd.

This announcement was made by WWE Hall of Famer and NXT executive Shawn Michaels via a video on his official Twitter (X) account, followed by an official press release from WWE confirming the news.

According to PWInsider.com, the decision to move Stand & Deliver from WrestleMania weekend was made for timing reasons. Originally, the event was planned for Las Vegas during WrestleMania weekend, but it was decided that relocating the show would allow it to stand out better amid the many other broadcasts that weekend, such as SmackDown, the Hall of Fame ceremony, and both nights of WrestleMania.

The report also mentioned that the shifting of WrestleMania to the West Coast in recent years added challenges to scheduling events. Last year, for example, the WWE Hall of Fame ran late after SmackDown, resulting in an early morning call time for talent due to Stand & Deliver scheduling.

Additionally, it was noted that as a result of this move, there will not be any NXT events broadcast during WrestleMania weekend. However, it's important to clarify that this does not mean Stand & Deliver will permanently be removed from WrestleMania weekend, as WWE will evaluate and make decisions on a year-by-year basis.
