Last night, AEW presented a special episode of Dynamite themed "Blood & Guts" from Greensboro, NC which was advertised to feature two wrestling legends - Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat and "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair.
As it turns out, Steamboat did make his advertised appearance on camera but Flair was notably absent during that specific segment and there appears to be a very good reason why.
Dave Meltzer of f4wonline.com reports that Flair was in attendance at the show in Greensboro and made a brief non-camera appearance for the live audience. However, he then immediately left the arena due to being in a "ton of pain" as a result of a recent rotator cuff tear.
No further details were provided in terms of when or how Flair may have suffered the injury but Meltzer noted that AEW had to make some creative changes to Blood & Guts as the original plan had Flair booked "to do something", presumably in the segment with Steamboat and FTR.
