Backstage News On WWE Keeping John Cena’s Last Time Is Now Tournament Bracket Under Wraps

WWE legend and 17-time World Champion John Cena recently announced his "Last Time Is Now Tournament," a 16-man tournament to determine his final WWE match opponent. The match is scheduled for Saturday, December 13, during Saturday Night’s Main Event in Washington, D.C. However, WWE has not yet released the complete tournament bracket; instead, several rounds will be revealed gradually through its weekly programming.

The tournament kicked off during tonight's episode of Monday Night RAW in Boston, Massachusetts, which is Cena's hometown. In the opening round, Sheamus defeated Shinsuke Nakamura and Rusev triumphed over Damian Priest. Other competitors confirmed for the tournament include The Miz, Jey Uso, and LA Knight. More than half of the participants remain undisclosed, as WWE is keeping their names a secret.

According to Dave Meltzer on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE’s creative team has intentionally kept the lineup under wraps to generate interest and excitement among fans and to boost ratings. Fans have been speculating about who Cena's final opponent will be, even considering talents from other promotions. While appearances by stars such as Adam Copeland (Edge) or Chris Jericho are unlikely due to their contracts with AEW, there is still a possibility for NXT stars or returning legends to participate.
