She came to the aid of her husband and fellow WWE star, "The Best In The World" CM Punk, and confronted Women's Intercontinental Champion "The Man" Becky Lynch.
According to Fightful Select, Lee's schedule remains uncertain, but her appearance on SmackDown is not expected to be a one-time event. She is anticipated to compete at WrestlePalooza. Additionally, the report mentioned that several talents who were not advertised for SmackDown were backstage to witness her return. Lee's comeback created such excitement that it was referred to as a "curtain sellout," meaning many talents had positions that allowed them to watch her return in person.
The report notes that Lee was not included in any internal rundowns for the show, similar to Brock Lesnar, which is not uncommon for major surprises. Most people within the company believed that Lee would be returning and did not think WWE would tease her comeback so heavily without having a plan in place. While Lee did sign a WWE contract in a video alongside Triple H, it’s important to mention that she would have done the same even if her contract were only a short-term deal or a one-off, rather than a full-time agreement.
