Reigning Undisputed WWE Champion Drew McIntyre is set to head into WrestleMania 42 as the champion, where he will defend his title against the winner of the Men’s Elimination Chamber Match.
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, Jacob Fatu is receiving significant support from creative to be involved in the title picture. As expected, Cody Rhodes is also anticipated to be in the title picture for WrestleMania 42. It has been reported that some promotional departments at WWE headquarters in Stamford are in a "panic" as they are falling behind on promotional materials for WrestleMania, with imminent deadlines approaching.
Rhodes lost the Undisputed WWE Championship to McIntyre on the January 9th episode of SmackDown. He is competing in the Men’s Elimination Chamber Match this Saturday night, alongside Randy Orton, LA Knight, Trick Williams, Je’Von Evans, and Jey Uso.
It is important to note that Fatu is not participating in the Chamber Match, so he would need to be incorporated in a different way leading up to the event. Fatu has been feuding with both McIntyre and Rhodes since his return on the same January 9th episode of SmackDown, where he confronted McIntyre and, in the process, caused Rhodes to lose the title.
