As previously reported, Ronda Rousey's appearance at the 2026 Revolution pay-per-view for AEW earlier this month was intended to be a one-time event. During the show, Toni Storm defeated Marina Shafir, and Rousey later confronted Storm after the match. Although it appeared that Rousey was setting up a potential storyline with Storm in AEW, that does not seem to be the case.
Fightful Select later reported that while AEW has not confirmed if Rousey will make additional appearances, officials are open to the possibility of her returning in the future. However, according to PWInsider.com, Rousey is not expected to return to AEW in the near future, reinforcing that her recent appearance was meant to be a standalone event rather than the start of an ongoing partnership with the promotion.
It was also noted that Rousey's appearance primarily aimed to promote her upcoming MMA fight on Netflix against Gina Carano and to support her longtime friend Marina Shafir. Currently, Rousey is set to return to MMA to face Gina Carano, with their fight scheduled to stream live on Netflix on Saturday, May 16.
