On the November 19th episode of AEW Dynamite, Scorpio Sky joined forces with Darius Martin and Dante Martin, forming a trio known as SkyFlight. They faced off against The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) and "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander from Don Callis's family in a trios match. During the match, Sky suffered an elbow injury but continued to compete despite experiencing significant pain.
According to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Sky's injury is not considered to be "too serious," which was the general belief following the match. The report also noted that this was Sky's first appearance on AEW TV in nearly two years, having last competed against Andrade El Idolo on AEW Collision in September 2021. So far this year, Sky has participated in five AEW TV matches and two matches in Ring of Honor (ROH).
Sky has been a key figure in AEW since its inception in 2019. During his time with the company, he became one of the inaugural AEW World Tag Team Champions alongside Frankie Kazarian. He is also a two-time former TNT Champion and won the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match in 2021. Sky made his return to AEW TV earlier in June, where he secured a victory over Max Caster in an open challenge.
